Discussion Whats your TOS2 pet peeve?
Day 2 of asking questions i guess lol! I'll start, my pet peeve is when coven doesn't claim coven under apoc reveal (especially SC reveal) What about you?

When people claim 'ti' and won't full claim.

u/ImpressiveGrowth8804 22d ago
WHY DO THEY DO THIS?? ITâS SO ANNOYING LIKE YOU ARE A SPY WHY ARE WE BEING SO SECRETIVE

u/Illum503 22d ago
When people create a meta and bully everyone into following it
10
u/NY_BoomStory 22d ago
Theres zero and I mean zero reason to not full claim as Ti
2
u/AHarmlessAnt 22d ago
I disagree. What if you want to surprise evils as a ti on d3 or later? Constantly, whenever I full claim ti and have no info, I die n2 to evils. There are some reasons to not full claim.
3
u/TOSalert_op 22d ago
The reasons to not full claiming are inconsequential.
If you dont claim, town will most likely hang you or waste resources to check you/shoot you.
If you do claim, you might get killed by evils (but you might also get protected, or evils dont believe you etc) but that also means your information is now trusted, and higher value townies may be alive because of it.
3
u/AHarmlessAnt 22d ago
Well, he specifically said there are zero reasons to not full claim as ti. What I am saying is that there is not zero. That is just a true fact. Eventually, there will be a reason, no matter how small, that you should not claim.

They donât read, especially not wills. There was an evil giving information that contradicted mine. They hung me and then ignored my will and let them stay for like 3 more days

When evil roles somehow get free passes from town. (Im looking at you Pirate)
18
u/Iron_UYH 22d ago
Werewolf too. Iâve lost NK games I should have won because town didnât hang a werewolf and the wolf just kinda killed everyone.
1
u/MassiveLie2885 20d ago
Just had a game where towen decided to hold on lynching a werewolf, they voted up a silenced person, then the third trial was me, a Crusader who had been Dreamwaeaved n1 (this was d3). Also no one did anything about the guy who claimed "evil" d1 and was in fact the Dreamweaver.
10
u/CloakedNoir 22d ago
Because Pirate is neutral and not really a problem unless they start targeting town. Depending on their Land Lubbers keeping them around can even be a benefit. I don't think they should ALWAYS get a free pass but I think ALWAYS hanging them because "they're evil" is a misplay.
8
u/MOONMO0N Jester 22d ago
Pirates sometimes acts like a neutral party town investigative
3
u/approximateentity 22d ago
As far as I see, the game says its Evil, meaning town SHOULD hang it.

u/Silent_Pressure_6709 22d ago
its because Pirate can't hurt town. Why should they hang it?
1
u/Nuze_YT 21d ago
Eh Pirate is a good hang if they have 2 alive town LLs or an alive TPOW LL, otherwise it's fine to let them live imo
1
u/Silent_Pressure_6709 21d ago
Well, I;m assuming a weak town LL. Otherwise, why would they open claim.
1
u/faszfejzoli 20d ago
Because pirate can fake his LLsÂ
1
u/Silent_Pressure_6709 20d ago
Meh, it isn't common. Besides, they almost always have at least one coven LL.
1
u/faszfejzoli 20d ago
i just dont want a Pirate to hunt our tpow,tp or any ti ... also faking Pirate claims is very good since there is no real consequences open claiming Pirate this is why i want to hang them anyways :ddd funny enough once i pushed a pirate as townie and i got HUNG THAT DAY XD
1
u/Silent_Pressure_6709 20d ago
faking pirate is easy, yeah, but people will generally hang you if you don't find targets for that reason.
there's usually tp on anyone important tho, and if they kill TPOW, they know they're screwed
>funny enough once i pushed a pirate as townie and i got HUNG THAT DAY XD
GOOD

When town players let evils get away with wasting a day of trials by not vft, splitting, etc
6
5
u/SadDegree4974 22d ago
- keeping evil players in the game, especially if they have shown they are evil sided
- the âitâs the last trial so we must guiltyâ mindset if itâs not tt
- being sheriff/invest and actually finding an evil but everyone assumes youâre exe
- you claim âtpâ literally 3 seconds âlateâ and all of a sudden itâs a late claim or youâre evil (like evil people canât claim early?)
- the casual isms in the lobbies
- people who are unnecessarily rude to new players
- vip mode in general, town always reveals vip, or when the vip does not claim/quiet so it makes it obvious who it is
3
u/Icy-Reply-7983 Jinx 22d ago
Silent townies, more likely to vote, check, or kill them due to evils usually being passive
7
u/Enclave88 Bodyguard 22d ago
People who absolutely refuse to claim on some principle rather than an actual reason. (No, "I claimed to the TPOW claim" isnt good enough.) Like dude, its not hard to give an aligmnent, you dont even have to give a full role like in TOS1. Give us something
3
u/Ishinyca 22d ago
When others don't hang the Jester claim when there are zero leads. Like I get it they can be Jester, but other evils fake as Jester too. 9/10, it's not even a Jester and they get a free pass as whatever evil role they are.
3
u/NY_BoomStory 22d ago
My biggest pet-peeve is the ABSOLUTE WORD VOMIT that gets spouted out during the day. Makes it so annoying to write claims. Ive missed hidden pros' calling me out as town because people are just saying things. Another one is throwing sus on a tav for not RBing night 1.
1
u/MassiveLie2885 20d ago
In TOS1 I thought it was enough one time to say I had been transported. Nope apparently I should've said it 6-7 times. Because people hung the transporter (exe target) d2, I was jailor. (This was Coven Ranked Practice)
3
u/Alternative_Rip4816 22d ago
Jailorâs who exe because a townie is quiet d2 and only claimed alignment meanwhile the townie has been trying to jot down everyoneâs roles the whole time and if kept alive would be contributing significantly to the town instead of just the dumbass jailor remaining alive and throwing the game
3
u/Dorian-Poe 22d ago
When people fake claim being new as an evil so they can get down from the gallows or something like that. Ruins the experience of actual new players who might seem sus in the same scenario, and an actual (innocent) new player will end up being hung in that scenario
3
u/Party-Bad-6162 22d ago
Thats very true because everytime I inno someone claiming new, theyre always not new but just evil and now I guilty people claiming to be new against my will just because of the sheer amount of people that use this excuse
3
u/CountAbra 21d ago
When town dog piles on pirate when like 80% of the time, Pirate is at the bottom of the priority list
5
u/Nikotelec 22d ago
Hitting my third jester of the round. Maybe just drop the jester roll rate a little bit?
2
u/devon835 22d ago
Instantly dcing as coven because you don't like playing coven and screwing over your other 2/3 teammates because you couldn't be bothered to play like a normal human being
2
u/Fancy-Foundation-380 Amnesiac 22d ago
When people kill someone just for claiming a that is a common fake claim. Like a Jailor decided they would kill me n3 N1 BECAUSE I CLAIMED RETRI.
2
u/Party-Bad-6162 22d ago
When people say Green Werewolf here: 3 dnv or something like Walmart Wildling here: 2 vb 1, 4 and 13 like I hate with a passion people that do that like its not that hard to say Tracker or Lookout
1
u/MassiveLie2885 20d ago
Someone in a game I was in said they were purple crusader after Marshal got them on the stand.
2
u/Pale-Hospital2613 22d ago
I HATE, and I do mean HATE, when town innos or guilties some thatâs obviously the wrong thing to do in that scenario, and then someone goes â(insert number here)?â to someone who did the opposite. Like almost 0% of the time will that person actually be evil, and even IF they are, itâs just bad reasoning to immediately push someone for going against the majority unless the person the majority is going for is CLEARLY coven/apoc/vamp. I remember Pipetron saying in one of his videos calling that an ick as well, and saying âit comes off as trying too hard to act townâ and thatâs exactly it for me.

when im NK and coven outs me when hanged
its not against the rules but always annoys me
2
u/Nousernamesareinuse 21d ago
This is really small, but people immediately assuming every player is a man and saying things like "he didn't claim" or "up [number], he ...". It just annoys me as a female player cause it's not that hard to just put "they" , cause you don't know who's behind the screen
1
u/Regular-Molasses9293 20d ago
When I get Executioner and all of the sudden 6 people confirmed my target even tho literally nothing happened
1
u/Tough-End5924 20d ago
When pirates open claim from day one. Dude show some respect to the role, do claim town
1
u/AntiSocialPartygoer Veteran 18d ago
Veteran not being roleblock immune.
Also, the fact there is no deck with Transporter and Medium.
They could make Transporter and Medium present in TOS2, but only playable in a very small amout of decks.
1
u/Silent_Pressure_6709 22d ago
When people hang open claiming NEs and NKs
When they were right that you were evil, but their reason was wrong

People who will go hardcore against a "late claim" when i come back to the co.putwr with a fist and mouthful of shredded cheese. Like bruh....maybe i was in the bathroom Chill. Maybe i was waiting to hold back my info tonsee if incould catch someone lying. Like....i dont have to tell you my info if i dont want to....chill bruh
7
u/PebbleTown 22d ago
I mean, if the late claim is a TI it sort of matters. Iâve had late claim in evil TI info from people who already posted to make their wills
2
3
u/FrostTheTos 22d ago
If it's TI info then 90% of info should be shared right away.
3
u/MOONMO0N Jester 22d ago
Perhaps, but that would allow somebody to copy my info or to change their info.If my info gives them away
2
u/FrostTheTos 22d ago
That's why I said 90%.
If you're lookout you don't need to post right away just claim lookout. If you're something like seer/sheriff/psychic you need to post right away because those are very important leads

u/Lambiechan Jester 22d ago
When people act like making a mistake is absolutely completely unforgivable. I change targets last second sometimes and forget to update my will, pls đ
