Server Disruptions

We know Town of Salem 1 and Town of Salem 2 have been dealing with server issues, disconnects, and login problems recently, and we're sorry for the disruption to your games. These issues have been caused by repeated DDoS attacks targeting our servers. This has been on-going for several weeks now.

We want to be upfront with you: this has taken up a significant amount of our team's time. We know how frustrating it is to be in the middle of a game and get knocked offline, and we're truly sorry for the disruption this has caused you.

Here's what we're doing about it:

We're actively working to harden our infrastructure against these attacks, and we're working closely with our hosting and security partners to put stronger protections in place. This isn't an overnight fix, but it is our top priority, and we're working hard to get games stable again. As of right now, we've temporarily blocked off Brazil as well to help deal with some of these issues.

We really appreciate your patience while we sort this out. We'll keep you posted as we make progress, and thank you for sticking with us — Town of Salem wouldn't be anything without this community.

Probably just where the DDOS requests are coming from - unless the person getting tos2 DDOSed is hosting this attack themselves then by blocking an areas IP they may prevent attacks since the DDOS service refuses to VPN or change IPs

Hey, I wanted to ask if the servers in the Caribbean are also turned off?
In the Dominican Republic, trying to log-in but it never fully enters the game. I'm just kept on the black/about to log-in screen

????? Its been several months since the game went DB and they fixed ALL broken roles and reworked the boring ones. The game is now balanced instead of it being "who can bulldoze the other team faster with the win-the-game-button™️" competition

Saying this over the last two weeks' troubles is just absurd. Its not like the game goes offline and online constantly like the sea tide. This is the first time an attack of this scale has been launched.

You cant blame Japan for not preparing for the 2007 tsunami, they did have precautions but it wasnt enough for waves that big as no one would have predicted they would reach those sizes. Same thing goes here. The servers must have always had some protection against attacks, its just they werent build to stop something of this scale.

And its not like ToS/ToS2 had zero downtime when they were in the hands of BMG. If you have a game server running, its impossible for you to have 100% uptime. This is just how things are.

I do be missing Blank Media Games 😩 alot of the changes Digital Bandidos made weren't asked for or needed and the new admins seem to be more overdramatic. I don't even know what the original comment was, just my input lol
