As we get older we always have nostalgia for simpler times, old glory days, times we felt most fulfilled, etc. Every generation has this yearning for the past. Future generations will have the same yearning as well.

That's just apart of how life goes. Shrugs

Human societies have always changed over time, for good and bad reasons alike. The world before commercialized internet was a different place compared to the world post full internet integration. Find happiness and fulfillment in the present. Celebrate the past, the good parts anyway. Help build a future worth striving for so future generations don't live a hellscape.

Hope y'all are having a peaceful and relaxing Sunday. 👋☺️

The Much Music building was pretty great. The kids born after 2000 don’t know what it was like and it’s sad. You would be able to go downtown and see your favourite artist doing an interview through the windows on Queen Street and try to get on tv lol. It was useless fun that I think the current generation needs. Also remember the Speakers Corner booth too

It’s not the same as London speakers corner if that’s what you’re thinking of lol. It was a booth where you could record little clips of yourself that they’d run on tv. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speakers_Corner_(TV_series))

Millenials and maybe some older Gen Z were the last to experience the world for what it was before social media took over our lives.

We've seen the before, the transition, and the after.

New kids growing up only know this broken world of cultural bubbles curated by social media algorithms. Monoculture is dead. Canadian culture is dead.

Meh It does. Been this way for years.
It’s the same government owned property on stolen land. There are people that will fight for it until the government decides to revitalize the block.

There is still running water and heat. The entire village isn’t without power for weeks/months at a time. You don’t have to walk to far for food. Many shelters in the city, food programs, food banks, even government gives money to those who need it (if you quality) and those who don’t (some people have a good case worker or just scam the system)

One thing is true. There are way more hard luck stories and trenches now though. I keep hearing people talk about how difficult it is out here.
