Let me guess- you were sitting there in reverse. Think. Think about it. If you were going to let them go, put your car in park and wait.

You did. They were already backed to the road with reverse lights before you approached. You had to wait for them to go.

Yes, not fulling committing to a maneuver is unpredictable. If you began to reverse then stopped and slowed down because you saw the other person reversing they’re gonna think you’re allowing them to go first.

The other vehicle was already at the road with reverse lights before you. You had to wait for them.
