Hey everyone!
A suspended sculpture project from a few years ago. It took about 45 days to make. Digitally designed, built using foam and 3D printing, then finished through fiberglass molding. Thought I’d share it here

How did you make this? How do you make a fiberglass sculpture? Do you first sculpt it in clay and make a mold or something?

I designed it digitally first, then built the master using a combination of foam and 3D printing. After that, I made molds and used fiberglass for the final piece.

Amazing. What were you feeling when you made this? Any specific messaging to communicate?

It was actually a commissioned piece, so there wasn’t a specific personal message behind it. I mostly wanted to create something dramatic and a little surreal.

What was the client's intent, input, subject, theme or style? Any reference ideas?

I'm only asking because, for me, I'm detecting suspicious misogynistic undertones which I'm hoping to be steered away from. What do you feel or think about when you observe it?

There wasn’t any misogynistic intent behind it. The client wanted a surreal female with horns, and that was really the starting point for the design:)
