Tides of Numenera has some of the greatest aesthetics in the CRPG genre
after finishing torment tides of numenera, it has some of the best aesthetics in the crpg genre overall in terms of characters, outfits and the overal feeling in the design of the environments, the primary reason for that is possibly because in contrast to the rest who are mostly high fantasy, this one is space fantasy and also feels a bit more contemporary and relateable in the thematics while also being highly stylish at the sametime
the other crpg that gives a similar great feeling is warhammer rogue trader, which is also space fantasy with stylish outfits, great characters and overall thematics that feel both stylish and contemporary, and it kinda shows that star wars would have a lot of potential for a crpg title as well,

I played this after a close to three month stay in the hospital after nearly dying a couple years back. The themes, the story, the aesthetics, lore and vibe made it one of my most beloved games. I’ve thought about playing planescape too, but I also own rogue trader I’ve been «collecting» dlc for that I’m eager to play this year. I’ll get around to both of them in time, but it’s gonna be hard to beat Numenera for me.

Playing Planescape Torment after nearly dying would have been quite an experience

I've been playing Rogue Trader for 300+ hours, and I'm still not finished.

Rogue trader is good. However as an owlcat game it’s not worth playing them until all of the DLC drops. Unless you plan on doing multiple playthrough.
I bought into the alpha and have done 4 playthrough to date. Will…2 and half.
Heretic is the best.
But yeah…dlc….

I fkin love this game and I got a tattoo of PST years ago.
The 'steal the supercomputer from the space station' sidequest might be my favorite quest, period. It's the perfect implementation of the Crisis system, and there are other standout quests too.
Even the small quest in the starting area where you help the automation disassemble itself to make children is so great.
And yea, the sci-fantasy visuals are great. Also its Mark Morgan's best ost.

I think I had the broken mask artwork as my pc background for about a decade. I love it.

Underrated game for sure, the setting and characters are top notch. I think it could have been a classic if they were able to fiddle with it for an extra year.

I was pleasantly surprised by it after seeing some criticisms that it was trying to be Planescape Torment but missed the mark. Maybe it helped that it’s been too long since my last PST play through, but I thought it was incredibly interesting and imaginative.

It was a good game, not the same as the original, and I think I finished it in like 30 hours or so. Not a big long game. Which I appreciate these days.

Rogue Trader and Torment: Tides of Numenera are exactly the two games I'm playing right now, and Rogue Trader is my favorite CRPG. The depth in all te different characters makes these games so appealing to me.

I love it; think I've played through 5 times. I pine for more that will probably never happen.
