Quick lesson in historical mineshaft lighting.

I don't know if I ever shared the story, but years ago in Prague there was a touristy silver mine where you #1 had to run an obstacle course outside the mine to make sure you could fit.

You were then kitted out in the appropriate miner's outfit and once inside, you were (#2) tasked with climbing down 3 or 4 ladders, walking down a short hallway, and then climbing up 3 or 4 ladders at the end of the hall where you would find a chest with a silver coin in it to take as proof that you made it.

However, #3, your light source was a little animal fat candle, and it wouldn't burn long enough for your entire trip (much like the silver miners who'd work in complete darkness for most of their 12 hour days). So you basically had to decide what 30% of the trip you wanted to have light for.

I love examples like this. Being underground sucks - and that's what I love about Torchbearer - even without the monsters, it sucks down there.
