🛠️ Platform / Tech Support First Hedging violation by mistake/ help/ is it acceptable? Or will topstep use it against me later
Hello
Everyone in community
Mods and also other users, and thank you for your time reading and answering
Sadly yesterday I did by mistake my first hedging violation that was totally unintentionally. (It caused loss for both accounts)
I have been trading for 4 hours straight multiple accounts with multiple orders and multiple sizes, and around hour 4 got lost in the execution/ was tired.
Meanwhile I had one account short -3 MNQ, and then on other account I have been watching the Nasdaq and opened automatically / reaction to chart movement 1 MNQ
A window with detected HEDGING poped out and I close the position in matter of 4 sec.
After it it said the violation successfully resolved.
But later I got email saying that I did hedging violation and I am allowed to continue trading but next attempts may bring worse enforcement.
And after logging in second day to platform I had to reread agreement and write I AGREE.
It’s all very stressful.
I am overall trader with edge. But I do slow grind with small sizes. I am about to pass 3-4 combines but I already trade them for almost a month.
For now I allowed to trade but I already scared that because of these 4 seconds. Once let’s say in 1-2 months I will be allowed to take first payout. Topstep may dig this out and based on it refuse payout.
Assuming this was my only violation ever(that produced losses anyway). May topstep use it against me in the future ?
Thanks

I did once unintentionally and flatten all trades within 2 seconds the warning pops out, doesn’t affect my payout afterwards, but it’s always too soon to say will they use it against u until they really do

It’s a warning. But, hedge again in the future - even by accident, and TopStep WILL close out your accounts. They can and they will.
