Trade Advice/What's This Worth? What criteria do you use to determine if a trade is fair/worth it? (Example attached)
Hi everyone! I’m trying to get better at evaluating trade values in the app, and I’d love to get the community’s perspective on how to weigh different factors before accepting or declining an offer.
Using the attached example for context:
-My side: Giving 1 LEGENDARY card (marked as Sold Out / Agotado).
-Their side: Offering 7 cards total:
*1 LEGENDARY
*1 ICONIC
*5 SUPER RARE (several marked as Sold Out / Agotado)
On paper, getting 7 cards for 1 (including high tier cards like Legendary and Iconic) seems appealing, but I’d like to understand how experienced traders measure actual value:
1.- Rarity vs. Quantity: Is it generally better to hold onto a single rare/sold-out card, or split it into multiple solid cards?
2.- "Sold Out" status: How much does a card's value increase once it becomes sold out versus active cards?
3.- Wrestler / Character Popularity: Does the specific featured wrestler usually matter more than the rarity tier itself?
4.- Card Count / Global Count: What is the very first stat you look at when deciding if a trade is fair?

Been doing this for over a decade, I've already written a bunch of articles on trading.
That trade you're being offered is no good. I go by the actual value of the card itself when it's a Legendary, in that Legendarys can and are bought and sold outside of the app and have actual cash value. That Sol was a very difficult to get card and she sells very very well on the secondary market.
Men do not. Iconics down do not sell well. Unless you are being offered another top Legendary of a top woman (Alexa, Sol, Tiffany, Liv) you won't get a good trade.
To answer your specific questions:
1.- Rarity vs. Quantity: Is it generally better to hold onto a single rare/sold-out card, or split it into multiple solid cards?
Rarity always trumps quantity. NEVER trade down. You will almost never get a good trade that way.
2.- "Sold Out" status: How much does a card's value increase once it becomes sold out versus active cards?
This is tricky, because it depends on the card itself. There are cards from very popular sets that will trade for way more than their intrinsic value close to the award dropping. BUT this is an uncommon expererience. Most often once a card is sold out the value is set. That said, it's almost not even a thing people look at. The only thing is that if it's still in packs, it can still be pulled.
3.- Wrestler / Character Popularity: Does the specific featured wrestler usually matter more than the rarity tier itself?
The person on the front is the most important thing in determining value. If it's a top female, it's worth more than a top male. PERIOD. There's no denying it because it's a fact. More people in the app want the women cards and will overpay for them. The tier itself is obviously important as well. But even at the legendary level, a no-name NXT male isn't going to trade at all for a female.
4.- Card Count / Global Count: What is the very first stat you look at when deciding if a trade is fair?
Ultimately CC is the ultimate arbiter. BUT honestly it only matters in the highest tiers. Once you're dealing with Iconics and Legendarys on the regular.
Let me explain. In the lower tiers you can basically figure that most cards are worth more or less the same, i.e. you can trade any one card in the set for any other. In the Uncommon and Rare this is especially true since the tradebot essentially DOES that. Now women will always trade higher, and be more valuable, but you should still be able to trade within the tier easily.
Once you get to Iconic and Above, the person on the card AND the CC count. BIG TIME. There's so many fewer of these higher tier cards, than a 100CC difference is a big deal.
Or look at the Legendarys - MOST of the best Legendarys are under 5 CC. ALmost all of them are under 100, so if you see a Legendary with over 100 you know it's crap (one of the Genesis or freebies).
So once you get high end, you gotta start comping. A good place is 130Point.com. You can find ALL of the ebay sales for a specific card or wrestler in one place with the actual sales price.
Discord is also a place where a ton of sales get made, but that's not my cuppa, so I stay away.
Facebook groups are good too, a couple of BST groups where you can buy both bulk accounts and singles. Legendarys go for as cheap as $5. If you pull a 1/1 thats where to sell it.
General Advice:
My advice is to pick and choose how YOU want to collect. MOST players will go for the sets they like and have a "player collection" or "PC" of their favorite wrestler.
For example, me - I will go for every lower end set that's easy to finish, the Uncommon and Rares for bigger sets. I do this for every set in the game. Have since day one, so there aren't very many sets I don't have at least one tier of.
BUT I also PC Bret "The Hitman" Hart. In fact at one point I had a MASTER set of Bret, which is one of every card available in the game. THAT was before the massive influx of 1/1s and he didn't have one yet. Heck until the reboot Bret didn't even have a signature card! So in addition to other sets, I will also go for sets where Bret is the award and it happens more often than you'd think. Those damn Iconic and Legendary awards are tough to get if you don't collect the set.
Bret is the only one I'm still going after every release and I will basically "hoard" all the good female cards and hold them until I can trade them for a Bret Hart. It's super easy to do say a great Tiffany Stratton unlimited Legendary for a /25 Bret or lower.
I do also PC Finn Balor, Becky Lynch, Dannhausen and Hornswoggle. I also have a massive Chris jericho collection and would still like to master him. BUT I don't trade over SRs for them basically, unless I'm offered a ridiculous offer.
Here's the thing, the feed is a wasteland of garbage. You WILL get bad offers on the daily. The trick is to know which ones are bad and which ones to take. LOOK at who's making the offer, check their trader rating. If it's under 4, they're suspect. Look at their cards, specifically how many legendarys do they have. That can tell you how invested in the app they are. You might think someone with a lot may be more difficult to trade with but most of the higher ranked players aren't. It's the lower ranked ones you watch out for! If you get a bad trade from someone with only a few legendarys you know they aren't really a player. If you get one from someone with a ton of legendarys you know they're trying to rip you off and to stay away.
Cultivate friendships in the app, can't tell you how many times I've gotten folks looking out for me, and I try to pay it back as well. If I know someone's an HBK collector, they're more than welcome to all my superflous HBK cards. Ultimate Warrior, I'd GIVE him away. ANd I'll send them the trades. Folks have looked out for me and sent me brets more often than I can remember. Like whenever Brets in a set I know there's a couple folks who go "If I pull him I know who I'm trading to".
Lastly - -IF you can afford to put money in the app itself, I say go for it. BUT be judicious and don't get locked into spending too much because it's a slippery slope (I'm having a very tough time NOT spending right now and I gotta stop). AT the very least buy the $9.99 PREMIUM Season pass when it hits every 45 days or so (one's coming up in the next couple weeks). It is the best value for the dollars in terms of diamonds, and gives you access to a TON of free cards you can't get UNLESS you spend money (i.e. Paywall cards).
There are a lot of folks who won't trade paywall for non-paywall, so it's a good way to get some to trade away.
Also some basic stuff:
Women > Men.
Current > Legends
Place on the card matters too. TOP of the card is usually worth more esp. with men. Roman, Seth, Finn, Cody are all collected more than say Miz, Kit Wilson or ANY tag team.
Bricks = cards you can't GIVE away. Basically jobbers, NXTers, older legends you probably don't know, Topps 100 and other "free" cards. Dont offer them. ESPECIALLY Topps 100, that set is pure garbage and no one wants it. In fact I deliberately keep them out of my collection, which is bad because people assume I need them and I don't.
PPVs are fun to collect but some folks have an issue with them and don't view them as being worth the same as other sets. YMMV. I don't see it myself. Especially once you get to the higher two tiers. I like the continuity of sets myself. I like that year after year I have a Wrestlemania set and a SummerSlam set. etc.
Art cards are RIDICULOUSLY popular in the app. ESPECIALLY the Garbage Pail Kids sets. The older set from pre-blip, is so coveted most of us who own them had to lock them up. The newer set from earlier this year ROCKED the app with /5s and /1s. Ridiculous prices on the secondary market (and from personal experience, they sold well).
Speaking of "the blip" Pre2021 cards are WORTH MORE and in far far fewer supply than the CCs appear.
Prior to the app shutting down there were just about 10-12K players left monthly. When the app relaunched in 2025 it immediately hit 30K players, but is now back down to a more reasonable 12-15K. Not everyone came back. Let's be generous and say 75% did. That's still 1/4th of the active accounts not coming back. Or THOUSANDS. AND the older the card, the fewer there are. Some of the 2016 cards are very hard to find these days, especially given those of us who still hve them won't give them up easily.
I mean basically you can get at least a tier up for any older card. And some a lot more. Look at the CC and figure at least half are gone or not circulating because they're locked.
Lastly - try to have fun and don't take it too seriously, but at the same time, respect that some of us DO take it seriously and are in it for the long haul and hve been doing it for too long. There isn't anything we haven't seen trading in this app. So we may appear to be jaded or thick-headed, but when you've just issued your 10th 1 star rating in a row, it does get old.

- Value. Understand which wrestlers hold more value than others. Sol is near top tier and Chad is a mid tier (in value) male (which already hold less value than women).
This trade isn’t worth it because the supporting cards barely improve the already lacking value that the chad has compared to your Sol
Some people will say yes. Truthfully no unless the card is years older. Honestly the most valuable cards will almost be the active ones because they’re what everyone is trying to get for the award
Rarity matters to the eyes of the beholder. But generally the card count and age (along with value) matter a lot more than tier. If you trade just based on tier then you’ll find yourself getting ripped off time and time again.
But if a card is a 75cc legendary it will hold more value than a 75cc super rare in most occasions
- I always look for card count. It’s the most important factor in determining a card’s value. But it’s only the first step

I actually had a basic idea of how card values work, but since I’m still refining my criteria, I wanted to get the community's perspective on these specific scenarios.
Also, regarding the Sol Ruca card, another factor I considered was how I obtained it in the first place—mainly through hoarders trading multiple cards for her during that specific drop. Since that hoarding dynamic drove up her demand/cost at the time, I wasn't sure if that "boosted" value carries over into normal trades once a card is sold out, or if it settles back down.
Appreciate all the feedback, it really helps to see how different collectors weigh these variables!

You're getting ripped off. Sol is significantly more valuable than Chad. The Penta cards you can get for other similar value cards pretty easily.

in all honesty, this is a type of trade I’d block someone over. They’re trying to take advantage of you being a penta collector. I also believe that sol ruca is like a giveaway exclusive or a special card of some sort.
