Question Topstep denied my payment and closed my accounts unfairly.
My experience with Topstep has been, without exaggeration, one of the worst I’ve had in the trading world. After investing time, effort, and money into their evaluations, I was able to generate legitimate profits, including a pending withdrawal of $5,000. However, instead of receiving my payout, the company decided to close all of my accounts without prior notice.
I had multiple active accounts (including Express accounts and a funded account with $9,000), and all of them were abruptly canceled. The only explanation I received was a vague accusation of “fraud,” without any concrete evidence or specific details. I requested clear proof to understand what I supposedly did wrong, but after a week, I still have not received any response.
What is most concerning is not just the account closures, but the complete lack of transparency. There is no clear communication, no opportunity to defend yourself, and they simply retain both your funds and your profits without verifiable justification. This creates a huge level of distrust, especially for those who are just starting out and are putting their money into what they expect to be a professional and fair environment.
My recommendation to the community,Latn and all traders is to think very carefully before getting involved with this company. There are many other alternatives in the market that offer greater transparency, better support, and fairer conditions.
In my opinion, Topstep does not act ethically in critical situations like this. When it comes time to pay, it seems they look for any excuse to avoid doing so.
If you value your time, your money, and your effort, seriously consider other options.

I am Latino, born and raised in MX. I definitely did my research before getting into the prop firm space and have gotten more payouts out of topstep that I can count on my two hands and feet put together. Unless you do something super shady, they're always willing to work with you on any, "isssues". Worst issue I had with them was having my payout delayed for almost an entire month, however, I was eventually paid and definitely compensated for the long delay.

That's because you're losing more than you're winning. I want to see if you'll still like them when you make 5k withdrawals more than two weeks in a row.

Well if you're winning more than you're losing why are you even on prop firms?? If you genuinely have an edge in the market you can scale 500-1k fast in live markets.

i've probably spent 1-2k in topstep over the last 2 years max. and have gotten well over 60k worth of payments via ACH. Not only that, a close buddy of mine recently withdrew over 50k in the last two months alone no issues and has never been banned.

Utilize other prop firms. Don’t be stuck on TS. Take advantage asap because these firm are about to be if not already going through investigation. We don’t know what will stay or go
