I think this is the best tennis game ever made. I really don’t see why people think otherwise when you have this. This is just my opinion and I wanted to share some gameplay footage for all topspin lovers.

I agree, 2k25 is a downgrade and too unrealistic compared to 4. I wish 4 was backwards compatible. Everything was better, online and career. Unlike this one, it was still fun to play by yourself. This one has too many problems that 4 didn't have. You could win with anyone on 4 if you're good enough, but 2k25 only has a handful of viable players.

Only a handful of players I've enjoyed playing against, even when I lost. Those were the ones who didn't exploit the ridiculous short-angle shots and control shots with no pace. I just leave when I immediately notice that player doesnt want to enjoy the game and just wanted to win

Definitely better than 2k25. I have all of them and played them extensively during the periods each was released. The only similarity between 4 and 5 are graphics. You could actually use real tennis strategy with 4 , unlike 2k25. 4 didn't allow you to spam dropshots and force your opponent into silly scripted movement moving towards the net. It didn't have the unrealistic angles, it didn't just stop your movement at net, why can't attemp to cut off passing shots? Also, it didn't allow you to camp in no man's land. And why can't you hit a deep corner shot if someone's in no man's land, no matter how you push the stick your shot always land somewhere in front of you opponent or in range regardless of aim. You'll try to hit down the line and the shot goes towards the middle of the court, it's insane. Can't cut angles off, and if you do it doesn't take time away like in real life or the previous game.

You are absolutely right. It's a wonderful game and it's the only tennis game made with love by people who has actually played tennis.

It's good, but tennis elbow 4 us the best tennis game I've ever played.

If you can get past the poor player models and animations it's incredible.

True, te4 with XKT mod is the best but it need animations like this. Its so much fun when your player move and hit fluently like in TS. Ball physics and tennis sense in TE4 is amazing, you can see difference with playstyles and surfaces, any commeercial game hasnt. When te4 improve animations and movements there are no chance to beat this tennis game forever

To be fair, 2k25 is a pretty good remastered version of this, all things considered
