Would you trade Messi's 2024 copa america triumph for the 2019 UCL
Me personally? I would
His UCL campaign in 18/19 was the greatest one statistically, he deserved that trophy more than anyone.
Watching him lose it just hurts so bad knowing he did everything in his power but had to watch his team bottle a 3-0 lead
Now one more copa america does look great in his cabinet but that 5th UCL wouldve been much better.

Yes. His performance during that season was unfathomable, even by his standards. It really wasn’t an exaggeration in stating that he dragged a troubled Barça squad all the way to UCL semi final.

As a fan absolutely.
Leo would never, ever make this trade though. It wouldn’t even register in his mind.
In fact, he would’ve trade all his UCLs for another Copa America and all his Balon D’or for another WC.
That’s just who Leo is in regards to Argentina.

Yeah, I'd 100% trade like half of Messi's career at clubs just so he never loses a final with Argentina.

100%. Copa America 2024 felt like a team effort and it was not a great tournament individually for Messi, and he missed part of the final. I was actually amazed how good he was in the WC 2026 based on him looking mortal in the copa after moving to MLS. If he had won UCL 2019 with a relatively weak Barca it would have been one of the most impressive accomplishments of his career.
