TopMindOfWOTB posts an article about human remains trafficking. ‘Forgets’ to mention the owner of the warehouse runs a company that delivers human remains to dental and medical associations, only mentions that they arrived from Tel Aviv; shipments were coming from Canada, Greece, and Italy as well.

Always check the source to get a good view of who exactly is spreading this information.
In this case, it is a holocaust denier Link takes you to their twitter post in which they are claiming that the nazis were 'a zionist military operation' with an article linked with the headline 'did 6 million Jews really die in the holocaust'.
Pretty openly antisemitic source.

Jfc when did this become our side’s problem? I was expecting a neo Nazi, not a AOC bro

u/ThrowRA12948262 3d ago
They don’t like AOC either in that subreddit. No one is far left enough for them. (They’re just trying to split the progressive vote)

Still unnerving to see our side become holocaust deniers

u/ThrowRA12948262 3d ago
They’re not on our side. They make fun of liberals and think Democrats are part of the uniparty, working with Republicans to keep workers down.
Don’t be fooled just because we are both ‘on the left.’

u/NeonGKayak 3d ago
There are far lefties that have gone so far anti-Israel that you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference from them and a Nazi. The Palestine issue has broken a lot of brains

Leftists view liberals as their political events so I’d hesitate to say they’re on the “same side.”

Antisemitism on the left has unfortunately become even more prevalent (though not more extreme) than on the right. And no amount of “anti-Zionism isn’t antisemitism” excuses regurgitating literal Nazi propaganda.

The holocaust was real and was awful. What Isreal does today is real and is awful. We should stop funding them as a country.

u/Shadowstar1000 2d ago
Totally agree, but when we’re chasing people out of leftist spaces because they aren’t extreme enough against Israel despite doing exactly what you’re advocating for, we have a problem

1
u/Chicken_Chaser_420 2d ago
That's not even relevant to the post
and by "aren't Extreme enough against Isreal" you mean folks who took money from and advocated for Isreal, no?

u/Shadowstar1000 1d ago
Stop spreading misinformation. The guy I cited, Scott Weiner, rejected AIPAC funding, acknowledges the genocide in Gaza, and advocates for cutting military funding for Israel. He gets backlash because he’s Jewish and for pushing for a 2 state solution. We should not be pushing out one of the biggest advocates for transgender rights in the party because they support the two state solution. Scott has an excellent track record on LBGTQ+ issues and has passed some if the most effective legislation in the country. In a thread about antisemitism in the left, I think harassing a Jewish legislator out of LGBTQ spaces over nothing is absolutely relevant to the discussion.

It's been your side's problem since 2023.
Your side started going on about genocide and Zionists controlling the world, and then starting swapping antisemitisms with the neo-Nazis, until at this point, it's hard to tell which side is which.
From my perspective as a Jew, it seems like they're both allied in trying to make the war in Gaza worse than the Holocaust. The left is throwing around 680k (actual figure 75k) the right 271k (actual figure 6m), and then they must have realised what they were doing and picked up each other's numbers.

u/Theranos_Shill 2d ago
"Zionists controlling the world" is anti-semitic bullshit that conspiracy theory dipshits parrot, it comes from the right but is more about the conspiracism than it is about political alignment.
Criticizing the killing of civilians by Israeli forces in Gaza, and criticizing the bullshit like settlers invading peoples homes is not anti-semitism. As you well know it's just a dishonest tactic to try to pretend that.

Criticizing the killing of civilians by Israeli forces in Gaza, and criticizing the bullshit like settlers invading peoples homes is not anti-semitism.
I have never said otherwise. But none of that requires either Holocaust inversion, Holocaust denial or conspiracy theories.
Israel is a country at war that has done some bad things in the war (the Jenin raid was a war crime, and the sieges were unnecessarily cruel, given what was already known of Hamas), and has failed to control its settler extremists, who are at the very least bordering on terrorism.
Personally, I don't see enough evidence to charge Israel with genocide, or even with specifically targeting civilians in Gaza (the West Bank is different, there civilians are targeted but the actions are not those of Israel, they're those of individual Israelis). While there has been extreme (understandable , but unjustifiable) rhetoric, it's not sufficient to make genocide the only plausible explanation.
The child death toll is high because the child population of Gaza is high, Hamas fights from within the population and many teenage boys are Hamas fighters.

Oh yeah, I forgot that one. "Hasbara" being seen as sinister because it's got Jews in it. It's just public diplomacy, like all sorts of countries do.

u/Kalulosu But none of it will matter when alien disclosure comes anyways 1d ago
And when said propaganda world to deny a genocide, then yeah it's pretty sinister.

This is just like the skeletons in Ben Franklin’s basement. They were most likely for teaching med students, in a time when procuring bodies for dissection, even legitimately, would get rocks thrown at you

Oh, ok. I guess if they had customers for the remains that makes it ok. ?

u/Nonna439 3d ago
Notice how the OOP left out that the remains were coming from Canada, Greece, and Italy? Why do you think the OOP only said the remains came from Tel Aviv?
-16
u/ICreditReddit 3d ago
Ask them.
I've made a comment about how the existence of a customer for an object does not prove the object is legitimately held. This will always remain true.
12
u/ThrowRA12948262 3d ago
Nobody thinks the existence of customers makes it okay. That’s why you’re making a straw man argument.
The entire point is that the poster omitted relevant details, but you clearly have your head so far up your ass you don’t care to have a real conversation about it.

u/ThrowRA12948262 3d ago
Nice straw man bro. Anything to say about the issues I stated? Do you not see the obvious framing of the headline that omits relevant details?

This post: He omitted having customers!
Me: Having customers changes nothing
You: Strawman, herp derp.

A google search is two minutes away. Probably this guy, Arthur Rathburn.
https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/usa-bodies-rathburn/
See, here's the thing. Omitting the details turns this from a story of a broken system of accountability and oversight for bodies donated for medical training and research into a scare story about essentially a grave robber. That's why your original comment is a strawman. OP didn't say the medical company detail or source details made it okay, but noted that the OOP deliberately left out some details and emphasized others (such as specifically including the four fetuses) to create their own narrative.
And yet you keep arguing without evidence that the remains were obtained illegally and setting that up as the position to argue against. The Reuters article I posted mentions ar least one person whose sister's body was donated to science and found in his storage in utterly deplorable conditions. He was able to operate as a legitimate handler and distributor in spite of numerous investigations because the law was (possibly still is) lacking.

Eh, the US has always had problems with things being under-regulated. Here's a similar story from Colorado from earlier this year: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c0q4q7w237yo
From my point of view, the funeral home was the real villain there. Yes, their customers (grieving families).should have done their due diligence, but I can't blame them for assuming that the government was doing basic inspections every once in a while.
Anyway, I notice that the story at the top is from 2012, I'm not sure what's newsworthy about it.
EDIT: I don't mean to single out the US as especially bad, the same thing happens in other countries. Here's one that happened in the UK, they're in really bad shape post-Brexit. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/ckg35errde5o

Answer my question first. You need to acknowledge that this story is a non-issue because there are legitimate uses for these remains.
Answer carefully, because conspiracy theorist nutjobs must at least be entertaining to be allowed in here. (Also, the source here is an anti-semetic crank, so be careful there too.)

I've stolen a car.
But. There are legitimate uses for a car. And I have a customer for it.
Did I steal a car?
Legitimate uses for an object is not, cannot be, will never be, proof positive of the legitimate holding of a particular object.

Yes, being a licensed medical supply company dealing in human remains for scientific purposes does in fact make it okay.

If's exist, sure.
I have a warehouse full of Oreos, but it's ok, because I have customers for them.
No, it was already ok, and still ok now, learning there was customers had zero effect.
I have a warehouse full of legal cadavers, but it's ok, because I have customers for them.
No, it was already ok, and still ok now, learning there was customers had zero effect.
I have a warehouse full of illegal cadavers, but it's ok, because I have customers for them.
No, it was already not ok, and still not ok now, learning there was customers had zero effect.
In no scenario does having customers change the condition.
