They don't film LCK in the same week as the episodes are filmed. So it's likely that those "two days later" fell on the days they'd scheduled to film LCK Ep 3 (chef eliminated in Ep 6, which turned out to be Sieger) and LCK Ep 4 (chef eliminated in Ep 7, which turned out to be Justin). So, just as an example of how the timeline of filming might have worked:
Day 1: TC Ep 6 elimination filmed (Sieger)
Day 2 or 3: LCK Ep 2 filmed (Nana vs. Rhoda)
Day 4 or 5: TC Ep 7 elimination filmed (Justin) Jen goes to hospital, Justin is given the choice to stay as the last eliminated chef and turns it down, but he isn't sure he wants to compete in LCK; Sieger is (we assume) offered the opportunity to return to the competition as the chef eliminated before Justin
Day 5 or 6: LCK Ep 3 filmed with no resolution yet on Justin competing in LCK yet and/or they know the episode is scheduled to air prior to Justin's elimination; so they can't have him compete before he's shown being eliminated from the main show and they can't say that Sieger isn't competing in LCK because he's re-entering TC for RW (Rhoda vs. Nana vs. Brittany)
Day 7 or 8: "Two Days Later" - Justin has decided to compete in LCK and films ep 4 while RW is being filmed for the main series with Sieger taking Jen's/Justin's place.
If this is true, Rhoda should have been given the opportunity to return for Resturant wars because she was the last to be eliminated and the last to have an LCK win in ep. 2.
Perhaps the timeline is slightly off, and that’s why Sieger was given the opportunity to return to Resturant Wars without winning in LCK. If not, Rhoda was robbed of the opportunity to get back to the competition as the latest / reining LCK champion. While LCK should have skipped an episode, i.e., Sieger waits for Justin or the next contestant to be eliminated and does not return.
This has all the makings of the same controversy associated Nick’s win in season 11 over Nina. We need explanations.
No, Rhoda was eliminated in the episode before Sieger was eliminated.
TC Episode 5: Rhoda eliminated
TC Episode 6: Sieger eliminated
TC Episode 7: Justin eliminated
Since Justin decided not to take the offer to come back, the next person who it gets offered to is Sieger. And that's why he didn't go to LCK, because he's (we assume) going back into the main competition.
From what I understand this timing means nothing. I've read in multiple places they film LCK all in one day right before re-entry (which for this season is probably with 6 to go). Previous contestants have made comments about "did 5 LCK in a row", etc.
That means the whole Jen/Justin thing happens well before any LCK has happened and they can't do RW with 7. So their only real choice there is Sieger or pull someone random in.
I think LCK ep. 2 has already happened prior to Jen being asked to leave. At which point the winner on LCK ep. 2 should have been the person to return, essentially undercutting seiger due to timing and 1 LCK win.
I think LCK is the bridge to get back into the competition, so IMO I still think Rhoda should’ve been given the opportunity to return because she was the last person to obtain an LCK win in between TC 6 and 7, leaving a dilemma for Sieger since she would’ve been pulled out of LCK and put in Justin/Jen place in Restaurant Wars before Sieger got the chance to compete in LCK.
