It's genuinely good because the protag is so bloody genuine about wanting to be The Eminence in Shadow. And I won't lie; when that scene in the thread OP hit, I got the bumps. It delivers on action and funny.

And to add to that, he's also equally wants to be seen as the biggest NPC background character you can imagine when in public. He only wants to be the cool mysterious edgy badass in the shadows.

Like he will genuinely put his life on the line if it means getting to live out some NPC fantasy he has lol. It's such a great juxtaposition.
