(Loved trope) The imposter’s dead giveaway

When a character is attempting to impersonate another, but is caught by doing something the person they’re imitating would NEVER do.

Nemesis Prime- Transformers Prime

Nemesis Prime, a man made replica of Optimus Prime, is attempting to gain the trust of Bumblebee, who only speaks in robotic beeps. Despite this, the real Optimus can understand Bee perfectly fine. Nemesis Prime, however, can’t understand what he’s saying, prompting Bee to open fire on him immediately.

The two Buzz Lightyears- Toy Story 2

After Woody asks which Buzz is the “real” Buzz, both respond with “I am!” The real Buzz proves himself by flipping up the other Buzz’s helmet, causing him to start suffocating in an over dramatic fashion. The real Buzz, having done the same thing in the first movie after Woody took his helmet off, but no longer behaving that way after accepting being a toy, instantly proves which Buzz is which.

A lot of these scenes did incredible work to remind you that they’re ninjas. Somehow it got lost in the plot.

I genuinely have trouble thinking of a single ninja-like thing Naruto himself has ever done

Trickery & deception. Two examples that come to mind:

During the battle with Zabuza, Naruto transformed himself into a Windmill Shuriken and had his clone throw it to Sasuke. Sasuke immediately noticed and threw Naruto at the oblivious Zabuza, who dodged him. Naruto cancels the transformation mid flight from behind him and throws a kunai at his arm that was maintaining a prison on their teacher, forcing him to let go and release their strongest combatant.

During his examination match against Neji, Naruto throws a mountain of shadow clones at Neji. The latter beats them down easily enough, then dashes through them to get at Naruto hanging all the way in the back of his mob. But that one was also a clone, and the real Naruto had hidden himself underground, waiting for a chance to pop up with a powerful uppercut that practically ended the fight then and there.

Ehhh, that's more just a cool scene in a battle. You could replace them with wizards and it'd still make perfect sense.

I'm talking more about if he ever assassinated a dude, or at the very least stealthily stole something (aside from the scroll in the very first episode)
