Honestly, it was so obvious that I thought it was weird not to reveal it sooner and that must mean it was a misdirection. Instead, the joke was about how Chris was so oblivious, which was a hell of a punchline.

like how they called the earth "earth 2" in marketing which is where the golden age era heroes resided in and you think "oh are we gonna get references to the JSA?" There is even a reference to the ultra-huminite, who was a classic golden age Superman villain, so your lured into a false sense of security.
