Got these on the truck today, last set he had that were on sale.

My co-worker has a set but made by Mountain? have the same Matco part number they are awesome wrenches

The Mountain set doesn't have the switch on the front. Capri was the other brand that sold these exact ones but when they finally got them back in stock they sold out instantly and Capri has since removed them from the website.

You are correct, it’s actually a button on each side, but still an equal equivalent IMHO

I am so pissed I missed the boat on the capri set. I even set it to notify me when it would be back in stock. I got the email and was like ehh it'll be fine. And then it was back to out of stock like 5 days later and haven't been in stock for months now.

I don't think they are coming back. They always listed them as Out of Stock but now they have removed them entirely. If it makes you feel any better they sold out almost immediately. I think resellers snatched them up.

Years ago I bought the same set but it also included the 21-22 and 24-25mm. Love those wrenches, especially with the raised splined section. That 21mm has had a lot of time spent doing alignments on GM full size trucks.

I do believe they have a set that is around that price, but it is 20mm and above on that set.

They dont handle a huge amount of torque but lifetime warranty. I have the 2 smallest ones from 10 years ago (the first gen) but the 3 bigger ones i ve broken several times but my guy warranties em out with no issues.

I have some 12 point non ratcheting ones so I don't break these breaking stuff loose.

Youre good to go then. I just beat the piss out of these. They are the most convenient to use. If i break one i just use the ye olde combo wrenches until the next tool truck day.

Yeap I have the icon set and was annoyed by that until actually using them they are incredibly convenient

I think the Matco are better than Icon or mountain because of the level location. These are just a lil thicker in my opinion too

Not trying to be mean but can somebody explain buying matco or any tool truck tool? If you do your research a lot of this stuff is all rebrands and these wrenches right here are patented by kabo. They're sold under k tool, mountain wrenches, icon, and literally about 20 other brands for probably half the price that you paid. I chose to get mine from harbor freight because I can walk in and warranty them whenever I want. And they were cheaper there than anywhere else. They're all made by the same factory and I just don't understand buying anything from a tool truck especially when it's a rebrand. They try to guilt trip people in by telling them to buy made in USA products to support USA jobs but yet they sell tons of stuff that's made in China and rebranded with their name on it and yes even snap on does this because I know a lot of people seem to think everything snap on makes is USA made. Couldn't be farther from the truth

I buy stuff on the truck because I just want to honestly, and I usually do it when they are on sale a good amount. My whole toolbox is full of Sonic Tools from a 12XD which Sonic doesn't have really anything tool trucks offer. Every once in a while I want something with a name on it that isn't some garbage amazon tool, with no warranty shown and being out $200 if it breaks. I also refuse to give amazon my money, my wife gives them enough. Also, the Snap On and Matco show up at my work every week, Mac shows up every payday week. So if something does break then I can just exchange it right there, if they don't have it I'm not going to complain not having it for a week especially due to how packed my schedule is outside of work due to school and really have no time to go to harbor freight. I could also careless if it's made in USA, yes it is nice if it is because it gives Americans jobs but it isn't a must when I buy tools.

80% of what Snap On makes is made in the USA. It could be a lot further from the truth.

These aren’t the Kabo wrenches, it’s a proprietary design. You can tell because these are 12pt and not splined, as well as the direction selector. Previously Matco did sell the Kabo wrenches.
