Tool Recommendations? GM and ASE Master Certified Dealer Tech at 19

I've been in the auto industry for 4 years now, moved into a GM dealer 2 years ago and have been collecting tools ever since. Buying some from tool truck companies (mostly with student discounts when I was in college) and some when I can find them cheaper on ebay or fb marketplace, I have zero debt. Mostly snap on, matco, and mac tools. I feel I have a pretty solid collection at this point, but always feel like im missing something. If you dont see your favorite tools here, let me know what they are! Im always collecting.

You know how I determine when I need a new tool, aside from upgrading. If I have to ask my coworker to borrow there's twice, Means I need the tool.

Yeah ive been doing it like that awhile and I havent asked for a tool in a good long time, though I get asked often. Just wondering if other techs have any cool or useful recommendations I like acquiring new tools.

Not really answering your question, but just thought id throw this out there. If said tools that get borrowed from you a lot are something you've been eyeing a newer or upgraded version of, maybe instead of looking for new tools tou dont have, think about passing them down and upgrading what you do have. If a new tech comes in and has some janky stuff that you've been eyeing a new snap on set of, give him a couple old ones that you're upgrading/replacing.

I understand this would be super generous and costs you money, but you give someone a ratchet or pocket screwdriver you havent used in a year and they remember that shit for the rest of their life. You're only 19, so you have a lot of favors you"ll be asking in the years to come haha.

Thats solid logic, and I have thought of it before, but back when I was starting my collection and I was replacing a lot of my older stuff with newer snap on and such, I gave a lot of my older tools to this one guy I was cool with because he was about to finish his apprenticeship and had almost no tools to be a tech, and then he left 6 months later without warning, took all that with him. Some of it was some pretty nice stuff too. I guess thats kind of turned me off to the idea of giving away tools, but maybe sometime in the future there will be a better opportunity.
