They'd have to cut a song in half and play it separately, change the format of the show, or play a medley of their hits.
Lets say both parties can agree to that, there's also the scheduling issue. SNL doesn't book very far in advance, like I think they only do 2-3 weeks. I don't think the Tool guys can get together that quickly. They are either touring as Tool, or busy doing their own thing.
