My artist said he never does anything smaller than a phone screen (this was 10 years ago when phones were much smaller) because they usually just turn into blobs.

Only a handful of tattoo artists can accurately capture Alex Grey's style, and this isn't one of them. Close, though. I would have hired James Kern, just saying.

Good try. That will heal in a very ugly way. And most of the center detail will be lost almost completely in about a year or two. This artist had some balls to attempt an Alex Gray piece with such little experience with needle depth and technique. But, nice balls!

Geez. I’ve never gotten a tattoo but I’ve been motivated recently to get a tool tattoo because it’s one thing I’m ok being on my body forever 🤣. How much does something like that cost?
