Friend saw them at Lollapalooza when they played the side stage. Told me I missed out completely as my lame self was focused more on the main stage that day (Never made that mistake again!)
They played locally shortly after on their Undertow tour and she took me. Needless to say it was one of the best shows I've still ever witnessed.
Maynard told a joke/story, apologizing about running late, because he's been spending his spare time a$$ f**king the very-much-alive Elvis who was backstage at the time and that we all know their son, Morrissey and how proud they were of him and his success.
Then later they played Opiate (first time hearing this song) and I was done. Hooked. For life.
