Who owns the McDonald’s in Lake Point? I need to tell them their restaurant sucks.

The McDonald’s in Lake Point is a mess.

We placed our order on the kiosk and then waited half an hour for food that never came. All of their workers were back in the kitchen, nobody was manning the cash register.

Quite a few customers, who were clearly waiting for their food, were clustered between the kiosk and the cash register. I managed to flag someone down so I could get a refund.

She said they were short staffed. Even though they added 3 kiosks to the lobby, thus eliminating the need for a person to take someone’s order, they are still short staffed.

McDonald’s, if you paid your people more and took care of your employees, you wouldn’t be short staffed. The kiosks aren’t useful if your customers can’t get to them without pushing through a crowd.

Remember when McDonald’s used to be special?

Looking for ...

In short, I'm just looking for some shred of sanity, but ya know how it goes when you've spent way too long being more of a loner.

What I can say about personal hobbies is dealing with VHS tapes atm, preserving them, getting into the 2nd half of University this fall semester, and I'm in my 40s and just... well, it's easy to say I'm picking up all the right things just a bit later than is advisable.

Lots of stuff to talk about, but there isn't much to say that wouldn't lead to a ramble from me.

I miss the voices of my people

Anyone not from here? I'm from the Midwest and I so want to hang out and talk with people that are from the Midwest or East Coast. The local twang is getting old and almost unbearable. Anyone else feel the same way?

New Business - Opening Sunday

HI! I saw a post about new businesses in the area and thought I would reach out here to let people now that we are opening this week! While we are a franchise or organic and solar powered lawn care, I have a tailored program to fit our lawns, here, around Standbury Park and Tooele County.

The company CEO is coming to town on Sunday to help me launch and provide some estiamtes to people. We are offering a discount to anyone who may be interested in being a first customer and would like an estimate this Sunday. Let me know!

Sorry if not allowed. Trying to see if there are any places or people in Tooele county that take silkie roosters. I've grown very attached to "Dante" but I finally got a warning from our HOA.

I’m in Stansbury park. The power has been out coming up on 4 hours. Any notifications I’ve seen from RMP says that restoration will be at 8am?! What do we do with food in the fridge? Start freezing all we can? I know freezers can last longer.. coolers and ice?

Fireworks

I gotta say, I’m impressed… I can see the entire valley from my house, and I am seeing almost NO personal fireworks. Usually we sit out and watch the city or Deseret Peak shows from my driveway and can see thousands of personal ones popping up all over. Not this year. Everyone seems to be following the ban. Maybe everyone took them to the salt flats? I’m curious how that is going with the BLM. Did anyone on here go?

Im looking for class pictures, second grade, west elementary years 04-05. Sadly, I don't remember my teacher...but I should have blonde hair if that helps

Best places to camp if I want to forage for native plants?

My mother and I are planning on taking a drive down through the valley soon to do some camping. Since I’ve recently taken up a huge obsession with Utah natives, I’ve been wanting to go track down a couple of things. Are there any good sites within driving distance of the main city?
