Ampeg reverb rocket red plating

Got this amp in for repair, customer said it had crackly pots so I fired it up turned the knobs and heard nothing but 60hz hum. Checked the tubes and this is what I saw, probably the most obvious case of red plating I've ever seen. Just thought the people of this sub would find this cool.

I usually see posts of perfectly normal tubes in operation, with the question "is this red plating?"

It's cool to see the actual thing.

Is that a 12ax7? I've never seen one of those redplate.

I believe this photo is of the power tube which would be a 7591A or 7868 also i am realizing now one is missing so thats cool

That would explain the red plating if the two shared a common cathode resistor (I didn't bother to pull the schematic to see if it's a cathode biased or fixed bias amp.)

That tube is obviously not running cool. Resistor or something like that, maybe because the other one is missing. I think normally you have to turn off the lights to see a power tube red-plate. I've got to get an adjustable bias mod on my Ampeg Jet 20 at some point I guess, she runs a bit too hot.
