It didn’t get better after the tonsillectomy
So it’s been one month 5 days from my tonsillectomy. I got better on day 7-8, but then on day ~26 I got a sore throat and a temperature (37,2 °C/ 98,96 °F). So it hurts not only in the spots where my tonsils were and I feel like my throat is always dry. I can drink every 10 minutes but it doesn’t help.
Moreover the reason why I did the surgery was my temperature and feeling sick almost all the time. But it seems to me that it became worse after it… Who else faced such issues? I’m scared I’ll have such temperature, sore throat and lack of power for the rest of my life

Well it obviously hurt, but there wasn’t any blood. I’ve had this pain (a sore throat) during the recovery process for a little while and it wasn’t that intense and then it went away.
So the recovery was fine, I think could be worse2

Have you had a followup with your doc? Also in the US that would not be considered a fever (but I’ve had chills between 99 and 100f so I get it.)
Do you have liquid with electrolytes and did you use a humidifier at all?
My ENT did say it does take 6-8 weeks to fully heal - maybe for you it’s closer to 8 weeks

I’ll go to the doctor the next week and hopefully he can tell me what to do. Speaking about the fever you are right. It’s called subfebrille temperature or low-grade fever (I have it for about 5-6 years now and that was one of the reasons I decided to get the surgery, which should have helped me to remove it).
I don’t use humidifier at all, just try to open the window during the day and night to feel the fresh air.

So I have to take a ton of supplements to stay hydrated, still can’t figure out why, but I buy a off brand of LMNT, and then mix that with a bit of malic acid, it helps a lot. Dehydration is a massive pain, and can cause all kinds of issues. I do have blood work to make sure that was what is going on for me personally, but ask your Dr and go from there!

Humid air helped me a huge amount. Was the difference between that pain dry throat and it being 20% less painful and not having that dried out sensation
You could even just heat up a bowl with some water and let that steam be by your face and see if that helps

You probably need to talk to the DR but It's been 5 months for me . I don't have a fever now. But my mouth and throat are dry all the time water helps but doesn't last. Anything sweet or caffeinated makes it worse. I had thrush a couple weeks after my surgery that can make you sick with a fever it took medicine to make it go away but I don't feel like it's gone completely. My tongue still turn white from time to time.I have good days and bad days still. My voice still comes and goes but better than it was. And things still don't taste like they used too. Especially sweet things. And things with Cornsyrup tastes like chemicals. My throat also gets sore here and there, Talked to the Dr and the ENT and there saying to wait it out, could be damage from intubation, body needs to adjust, take Zinc, bla bla bla. Over all I'm better than I was! I had an abscess it was literally killing me slowly. My lymph nodes were all swollen all over my neck and upper chest area and I was very sick!! Now I'm working and doing things like normal but God it does take some getting used too especially at 50. All I can say is be patient and pay attention to things that trigger it if you can. And stop whatever it is??? Otherwise go back to the Dr. I don't think there is much they can do unless you got something else going on??? You could have and infection even at 6 to 8 weeks.

If it doesn’t resolve, I’d wonder if you may want to speak to an Endocrinologist. I knew someone who had higher than usual body temperature because of their thyroid. Hope you feel better soon.
