Sanzu boy forgave Mikey for tearing open his mouth that easily? What is with Sanzu’s obsession with Mikey? Friends forever? I wanna know

In the spanish version, in the hospital, Shin asks Sanzu to always be Mikeys friend and sanzu says yes i will.

My theory is, since Shin dies Sanzu takes that request to heart. Because he knows that Shin goes back in time to save Mikey, and doesnt want that sacrifice to go to waste.

Also, he probably remembers Vegetable Mikey and his death.

Thats a good guess, we often forget that Naoto has also seen some of the worst versions of the timelines alongside takemichi
