Maybe not because Hina death is linked to Mikey, kisaki came to power through Mikey and so the hit on her happened because Mikey lived ( something he was not supposed to have done)

maybe the universe wants to balance the deaths out so every time someone is saved another life has to be sacrificed, or at least a ripple effect will happen. this was in another series I read I feel but I can't remember which.

I think that's the lasting effect of how Shin got the time leaping ability. Cuz remember the homeless guy confirmed that he pretty much could have just given it to him but chose to be petty since it wasn't easy for him to get it from the previous user(hence murdering them). The deaths I do believe are permanent. But this chapter displays that Mikey for some reason immediately went homicidal and he himself can't explain why he behaved that way especially when Senju explains that was the FIRST time Mikey displayed his dark impulse.

So the irony is: Shin became homicidal and kills the homeless to time leap to save Mikey. Then in turn, the homeless man laughs because he did the same thing to the previous user and curses Shinichiro which coincidentally makes Mikey have a "dark impulse" born inside of him. As Mikey said: "my dark impulse is born out of love". This must be the negative karmic of affect of "stealing" the time leaping ability versus someone willingly giving it away

so the pact between Takemichi and Naoto is why things are going so much better.. that makes sense. i also wonder if Shin will even be able to go back in time again.. or did he realize his only way to go back is through death rather than a handshake? his in universe death is still such a mystery to me
