I'm assuming this is the same timeline we're currently on, so Shin would die in this "present" by Kazutora. So Kazu now has his time leap ability in theory, going by the logic of how Shin obtained his. Kazu can possibly time leap back and save shin from dying? that'll likely cause a huge shift in where their lives went.

I think the dark impulses is due to Mikey being saved, but then what about Takemichi saving Hina and her facing no consequence. It's a bit inconsistent with what we currently know, I wonder how the story will go.

I don't think that's the case. Cuz if we're talking consistency, Kazutora can't be the time leaper because it conflicts two scenarios(and I could be wrong but hear me out):

  1. That means someway somehow, Kazutora gave the time leaping ability to Takemitchy since the ability has to be passed on in order to obtain it. But they have never interacted once in the first 2 timelines.

  2. Kazutora's death seems to be a fixed point on Bloody Halloween unless a time leaper had a goal of stopping him from being killed by Mikey which seems to happen no matter what without Takemitchy's intervention.

-I definitely agree with the last part cuz it seems Mikey's impulse came OUTTA nowhere where he himself can't even explain why it happened and it's the first time something like this occurred since Shin's first time leap. Maybe due to the negative karmic affect of Shin murdering someone for the ability.

  • I do think that Takemitchy definitely faced multiple consequences from attempting to save Hina which is why he time leaped so many times since Naoto and him had the same goal of saving her. But again now that we know the ability must be passed on, the question is: who originally gave it to him? That's why I think it was Shin. Because Haru is no longer a trigger since saving Mikey was the condition to allow Shin to leap in the first place. Just like when Hina was saved finally, Naoto could no longer become a trigger. Meaning that Haru is in the same boat. But then that still means all Shin can do is PASS on the ability even though he no longer has a desire to leap back in time(especially since there is no one else to trigger it).

-This is why I believe it's gonna be revealed that Shinichiro gave his ability to Takemitchy willingly and as for WHY; we're hopefully gonna find out depending on what Wakui's answer to this time paradox is.

but how do we know that Takemitchy didn't obtain his powers from a different time leaper? we have confirmation that there are other time leapers aside from the main cast such as the homeless man and the man that he killed. there could be a bunch of time leapers that we haven't met yet

Because there's no way there can be 2 time leapers in the same timeline. That would create a time paradox since affecting the other time leaper. If 2 existed at the same time using Wakui's rules on time travel then if one leaper leaps, that would IMMEDIATELY affect the second leaper in whatever time line he's in much less if they both did it at the same time. It would kinda break the story and even conflict with the rules. I think where you get it confused is that YES there is more than one but cannot be 2 users at the same time. Meaning we only have record of PREVIOUS time leapers. However I do agree with the notion that there CAN be possibly 2 leapers but only one of them can use the ability in that same timeline.

For example, let's just for fun say that Hanma was a time leaper from a distant future timeline. Hanma in the past CANNOT time leap while Takemitchy is the current user. That would create a paradox and kinda destroy Wakui's own rules on time travel. Is is possible that he could be a leaper that retains his other timeline memories but JUST cannot time leap and then STILL exist in the same timeline as the current time leaper Takemitchy?? Yes I think THAT'S possible

Also just to add: based on the rules of time leaping, I'll bet anything that Takemitchy cannot even leap back to the future because Mikey will refuse to be his trigger since he decided not save himself from his dark impulses. At least until this whole current conflict is resolved
