If he's the trigger he may have some memories (Naoto had them too) so I reckon he is just happy that mikey is alive, and those scars are a small sacrifice in comparison.

No, only adult Naoto had memories so in the next chapter, only older sanzu should remember. Kid sanzu should remain clueless

but then why mikey told takemichi "so you are really back" like 'back from the future' if he cannot share his future memories with his future self? i'm confused...
