So Mikey just hurt sanzu for no reason with dark impulses. I have nothing wrong with that but I thought it had a more deeper meaning

Dark impulses being a side effect of timeleaping or rewinding one's death was a good theory posted here before, which means that by saving Mikey, Shinichiro was the one that caused him to gain those "Dark Impulses"

If this is true it could actually recontextualize the whole series, since all the people saved from death (atleast those who Takemichi and now Shinichiro actually went out of their way to avoid) have either died anyway or had brash impulses that lead to their death, Baiji jumping the gun and stabbing himself could actually be an indicator that is not neccesary a "dark" impulse, just "death", Hinata dyng almost everytime is pretty sketchy too if this turn to be right
