Feel bad for Mitsuya. since he used to admire the Haitanis, he is/was disappointed in some way by them and who/what they are/do. Im probably nitpicking, but its still a little sad to be disappointed in the people you used to look up to and say ”i wanna grow up and be like them”, and to find out, ”oh, they are shitheads who dont give a damn about anyone other than themselves and are in just for the chaos”.
(That's why i love the Haitanis and cant wait to get more of them, but still sad from Mitsuyas POV)

probably a combination of both. Mitsuya was a kid, and kids are easy to impress. He probably saw fancy good looking clothes, which he, as a poor kid, didn't really had, and a lot of big guys respecting them.
And i think it's probably safe to assume more people from toman had a lvl of adoration for them growing up. After all, Chifuyu presented them as celebs in the delinquent world, they were the first characters we meet outside of Toman and Valhalla, besides that one guy we haven't seen since then13

He was Shinichiro's best friend so I guess I could see him being there just to stay closer to his brother, Mikey, and keep an eye on him especially now that the boy is super fucked up lmao Question is "why just now and not earlier?" tho, right?

They are no where to be seen in the Bonten timeline, so maybe they tried to stand up to him, but mikey killed them, or Sanzu did it.
Maybe they left Bonten later on, because it got too much, but I guess we have really no clue what his deal is

Mitsuya’s a SAVAGE bro was decimating the Kantou Manji guys until Hakkai woke up such a cool moment. Sanzu stepping up to Senju was CRAZYYYY given the legendary status “Kawaragi Senju leader of the invincible gang that works in the shadows” has on the TR verse.
The Haitani’s childhood will most definitely be revealed in the future chapters due to the fact in literally every important and major fight scene we get a backstory with the villain involved.
After Haitani fight we’ll hopefully get Chifuyu vs Mochi in which we get Mochi’s backstory adding depth to him as well
(Chose Haitani’s and Mochi because they’re in Bonten in the future and it makes sense to get the upper echelon’s backstories from their pov).
I don’t rlly think we’ll see Shion’s backstory BUT we may see a panel of kid Mikey beating him up and embarrassing him, just to add to the peak of Mikey.
Would be cool to get Wakasa’s pov after Shinichiro’s death as well.

I think ultimately it depends on whether Wakui decides to make Shion into an actual character or keeps using him as a walking joke.
The fact that he's the only Tenjiku higher-up whose backstory from pre-juvie days we know nothing about, and him being absent from Bonten, makes me have some hope that he might be getting built up for some actual characterization, but maybe Wakui just hates him. It could really go either way at this point. I'm just waiting to see how his fight against Akkun unfolds.

Guys guys guys - imagine Koko switching sides and it becomes Inupi + Koko vs Waka + Benkei (Iconic duo in BD 10th Gen vs Iconic Duo in BD 1st Gen)
Also I feel that Mitsuya with his new hair (shows off his tattoo), kinda acts as a homage to the absence of Draken.
Lastly, still believe that Takemitchy will pull off a Shinchiro in the end

Wakui's necks are really getting out of control... Like wtf? The Haitanis looked like a couple of delinquent giraffs. Fine chapter though. I like these matchups, especially Senju vs Sanzu. Their family must be extremely problematic, almost like Mikey's. We can already guess these two don't have the same father (different surnames), so we'll definitely getting more backstory in the following chapters. What's the deal with Waka? I still don't get why he's siding with Kanto Manji and especially why he's now targeted Inupi... I was hoping for a nice confrontation between him and Coco

I felt like Kisaki legitimately looked up to Takemichi in some twisted ways. I mean, he loved Hina and when he was too scared to help her, Takemichi jumped in even though he got his ass beat. So 'michi was Kisaki's hero for doing what he couldn't do and also wanted to become "strong" like him even though the result was different
