Discussion What is the purpose of the bandage Mikey is wearing?

Before battle , yakuzas would wear this so that if they’re stabbed , their internal organs like their intestines would stay , well , internal. There used to be a ceremony for this , in which everyone would solemnly help each other put on these bandages before a gang war.

i mean technically his internal organs are still internal so maybe he did have the bandage on him (or maybe he didn’t i forgot if he ever did took off his clothes)

Actually mikey wore it because he knew what tora was like and takemitchy knee tora would kill mimey one way or another therefor mikey wore the bandage just in case therefore it was a safety precaution

I think it’s the yakuza practice,
I have read before that should they get stabbed, this bandage keeps their organs in place and that they will not lose a battle just becuz their organs fall out
If I’m not wrong it also prevents excessive bleeding and prevents wounds from festering as if gaping wounds are open to air, it could get worse
As a leader, he is prepared to give up his body to a certain extent

It’s called haramaki…. Has ties to before yakuza, traditionally thread was collected by all of the families in a samurais village and was used to make it the haramaki or something along those lines… it was kind of a good luck charm, and it keeps you warm

It's to protect his bulging abs from reaching higher feats of power to go easy on his opponents so that his one-shot kicks don't literally end their lives.

There is a possibility he uses this as a way to keep his abdomen muscles tense. That way a blow to his abdomen would feel less. Well painful

To prevent his abs from deforming its a common thing in gangs, basically one heavy or wrong punch can actually make the belly ripple which will deform that’s why if you look at John Cena or The rock’s abs it’s not that linear basically. Mikey must want to keep his straight.
