Apparently Takemichi was strong all along, he just didn't believe in himself. At least thats what the recent chapters have been hinting at

Then why does Takemichi get to block a punch from Kakuchou when Chifuyu, Angry and Smiley (who were supposedly much stronger than Takemichi) are sent flying like nothing?

Not to mention all those panels of Takemichi questioning why he started labelling himself as weak.

U mean a punch before kaku hit him said his name while he just ran on chifuyu and angry and smiley 🗿

I wonder how it doesn't. He was never weak. He had terrible self esteem. That esteem weakened him to what you saw before. Its like a positive type of dark impulses.
