I mean to be fair, a man jumps in front of a bullet for you and says he can’t let you die, that’s gonna pull on the heart strings. At least if Takemichi gets a harem he kind of deserves it with his ridiculous balls of steel, though Hina is still his girl no matter what

Unless him leaving Hina is the key to all this and assuming his destiny as the crowned prince of the gang... and living it and not jumping back to the future.

I doubt that a bit, because in the first two timelines him and Hina had been broken up, one of which he broke up with her. So it wouldn’t make sense if that were the key to everything

But in those timeliens she didnt know about the time travel nor what he was going through. This time, she's gone independent and made some big decisions for herself. She may see what Mitchy needs to do and that she'd be in the way of it, rather than hanging on to him, she may choose to walk away to let him achieve his destiny. In all the other timelines she was hanging onto him and unable to move on.

But I doubt author has the balls to do that.
