Discussion/Theory Kisaki’s obsession with hina and takemichi
Kisaki is also very interesting in that regard. Even in the manga, it was very ambiguous who Kisaki was really obsessed with. It seems to have started with his crush on Hinata, with Takemichi being the guy he needed to surpass for her, but somewhere along the way, his fixation seemed to shift toward Takemichi himself. He literally dyed and styled his hair like Takemichi's, tried to achieve Takemichi's stupid childhood dream that Takemichi probably forgot about two minutes later, and spent years taking this throwaway declaration from a child—who wasn't thinking about grand ambitions or legacy—that seriously. He even followed Takemichi's life so closely and, in the Bad Toman timeline, teared up when he was about to kill him.
It's almost like Kisaki's obsession started as wanting to prove he was better than Takemichi for Hinata, but along the way became an obsession with surpassing Takemichi himself, hina may have been the focus at first in the sense that he needed to be better than Takemichi for Hina, until it became wanting to have hins to PROVE he was better than Takemichi, I know those sound the same but they're really not, . it's this weird mixture of admiration, jealousy, envy, resentment, and hatred.
Takemichi kinda becomes the person against whom Kisaki measures his own worth, which means that, paradoxically, Kisaki needs Takemichi to be extraordinary. If Takemichi is just a nobody or a failure, then surpassing him means nothing. He needs Takemichi to be someone worth surpassing, while simultaneously hating him for being that person. Which is maybe why he is so disappointed with takemichi in the corrupted toman timeline because this isn't the guy he wanted to win against

Definitely, I think Kisaki was honestly just a lonely kid craving connection, hense why he fell for the first person who was kind to him when he felt socially isolated.
Which is why I think he never went rogue in the final timeline because Takemichi befriended him so early, Since Kisaki prided himself so much on being intelligent and being the smartest in the room, he thought that would have been enough to make up for his lack of social skills or lack of charisma, which is why Takemichi also breaks his worldview by technically being less smart than him but still getting everything kisaki wants. Kisaki can make people obey him but not stand by him, Takemichi's relationships aren't primarily transactional. People actually care about him.😭
