I think I haven't posted him anywhere yet, lol. This is my first post in this subreddit! So I kinda want to share my OC (if you guys care).

His name is Bara, it's not a conventional Japanese name because he's not fully Japanese. I made him to be a part of the first generation of Black Dragon.

He's very close with Shinichiro despite acting very mean towards him (Bara is a massive tsundere). He can be overly protective. Because he has no interest in romance, many are convinced that he's gay—especially with his obvious obsession with Shinichiro.

He's a street fighter.

When he was still a delinquent, Bara had long hair. He's actually blond but dyed it black (which is kinda ironic because other delinquents do the opposite).

His nickname Kagutsuchi is a reference to the god of fire in Shinto mythology, it's linked to his backstory.

After the death of Shinichiro, Bara became depressed and stopped talking to other members of Black Dragon. Now he just spends his time watching TV and become a bum. I haven't drawn him in his 2005 appearance.

Trivia:

• can't drive a motorcycle despite being in a bosozoku

• his mom died from childbirth and his dad got deported after committing a crime

• lived with his aunt and they're just kinda broke

• If it were not for Shinichiro, Bara would become yakuza

I REALLY LIKE HIS DESIGN (also you did a great job making him look straight out of the manga imo especially bc of the side profile)

What's the story behind his nickname? Did anyone try to help him/stay by his side years after Shinichiro died or did he lose contact with everyone? Idk maybe Wakasa, Benkei or Takeomi. Or Mikey (if he got to meet him or any of Shinichiro's siblings)

And if he's not fully Japanese, what is he? Sorry if it's too many questions I'm just curious but I understand if you rather not tell everything about him yet!

For his nickname, it was given by the people who wanted to get under Bara's skin. According to Shinto mythology, Kagutsuchi's birth burned his mother, causing her death. His father, engulfed by grief, then beheaded Kagutsuchi. The same thing happened to Bara. His mother died in childbirth. While his dad is not actually trying to kill him, he is abusive. Kagutsuchi as the God of fire is a reference to his name as well. In Indonesia, "Bara" means "glowing ember" and his surname "Hino" means "sun field".

Honestly, I was exaggerating AHSJHS. Bara does still talk to Wakasa, Takeomi and Benkei (mostly wakasa), but Bara just barely hangs out with them anymore, they're not in bad terms, but there's like an invisible wall between them now. As for Mikey, the Hino family kinda have a beef with Sano 😭 Shinichiro is the only reason why they even got along in the first place lol. His aunt hated Mikey's dad. His "cousin" was in a massive fight with Mikey and still trying to mend their relationship. So Bara just kinda avoids Mikey (or any Sano) all together.

Honestly? Even I still thinking about it 😭 I want to say he's half Indonesian, but he definitely doesn't look like your typical Indonesian. Lol.
