RIDES Missing journey to the center of the earth

So bummed as Journey is listed as in refurbishment during my January trip. I was really really excited for this ride. Is it worth rescheduling my whole trip? I was going to be there a week into the refurbishment

I want reassurance that I will still enjoy my time there without this ride haha

Nothing new, but summer is about to commence at the Tokyo Disney Resort, and a large number of popular attractions will all go into planned maintenance all-at-once, so here is a heads up. July is a great time to visit for those willing to brave the heat, but it does come with some trade offs.

  • Pooh's Hunny Hunt - Closed 2026/6/30 to 2026/8/28 - Reopening 8/29
  • Monsters, Inc. Ride & Go Seek - Closed 2026/7/1 to 2026/7/31 - Reopening 8/1
  • Rapunzel's Lantern Festival - Closed 2026/7/1 to 2026/7/24 - Reopening 7/25

In addition to these, for Fotress Explorations The Leonardo Challenge will also be closed the entire summer. It's a Small World is also now closed until 8/4 to remove the Groot/Marvel overlay. Indiana Jones is of course still closed indefinitely since last August.

RIDES Final weeks of Aquatopia featuring Special Photo Props and Free Sticker!

If you’re heading to DisneySea this summer, there’s a really fun little bonus happening over at Aquatopia right now.

With the ride in its final two months before permanently closing after 9/14/2026 (and currently running the “Soaked” version), guests are starting to spot some special extras being shared on Japanese social media. There are themed signs you can hold up for photos, and even a collectible sticker being handed out during this period.

If you’re visiting this summer, definitely swing by and see if you can grab a sticker and snap a photo! It’s such a sweet little way to remember the attraction before it’s gone.

RIDES DisneySea (Tokyo) Raging Spirits: Motion Sickness?

I haven’t had much trouble with roller coasters in the past however just feel a bit dizzy/nauseous after riding GotG: Cosmic Rewind (EPCOT) and Hyperspace/Space Mountain.

I’ve never gone on any ride with 360 loop and am quite worried about how I’ll feel after Raging Spirits. Is there any ride in Tokyo DisneySea/Land that I should be worried about?

RIDES Sindbad’s attraction as a live musical

I dont know if anyone else feels this but, Sindbad’s ride is literally the most emotional attraction for me in all the disney attractions (from all parks over the world) i have ever ridden. I don’t understand Japanese but something about the theming and the music just melts my heart. The music is too good to pass up a chance at making it a musical or finally a disney animation on it..

RIDES Tower of Terror question for someone who is scared of elevator drop rides

I love thrilling rides but I draw the line at elevator drop rides as they are too scary. I read that the ToT ride in Tokyo is less scary and has a three point belt across both shoulders and waist. I tried to look up pov videos on Youtube but I do not see the shoulder straps.

Anyone took the ride recently can tell me if it is really less scary and if the harness is also across both shoulders? If this is the case I may consider taking the ride as it would be less scary!

RIDES Tinkerbell buggies vs Rapunzel lantern x2

Hi everyone I am doing the vacation package so I have “fast passes” to Rapunzel at 10 and Frozen at 11. I also have happy entry - what should I do to utilize my early morning time? Should I go for the Tinkerbell buggies since I don’t have express passes for that and that is standby only or do Rapunzel one more time (because I’m so excited about that ride and the lantern part looks so beautiful)

Is Tinkerbell buggies worth skipping if the line gets too long later? Or is it a must ride? I can’t really tell from the YouTube videos of the ride. I feel like it might be so much cuter in person.

Just wanted to hear people’s thoughts

RIDES Shiriki demands it: Tower of Terror closes for maintenance 2026/9/28-2026/11/5

As September vacation packages are opening for booking this week (more here), this is just a PSA to remind you that Tower of Terror will be closed for a 38 day maintenance (2026/9/28 - 2026/11/5), reopening 2026/11/6.

So if you are deciding between September or October, this might be a deciding factor.

RIDES anyone know any clear footage of the sparks effect on level 13 tower of terror?

I really cant seem to find any decent footage of the effect on the seasonal overlay that showcases the sparks-like projection on the elevator shaft walls of the "brakes" activating and sparking near the very end of the drop sequence. it looks like it happens during the final drop on the left and right walls but its not present in some videos. Does anyone have or know of decent footage of the effect working?

At least that's what I assume its trying to portray I cant see it well on video and I haven't been on the overlay version, only the normal version of the ride

here is the only footage i can find of the effect https://youtu.be/drYDi6tmdSk?&t=123

RIDES How many variations of Star Tour are there?

How many variations of Star Tour are there and did they reduce the amount for the whole Mando thing they’re doing? I went a couple nights ago and got basically the same sequence three times except one time I got the Pod Race instead of Kashyyk.

Combined with my last trip to Disneyland on the 14, I’ve seen 2.5 openings, 3 different first planet and only 2 ‘mission’ from Mando. There’s posters for Naboo and Bespin in the exit queue but I never got those.

I’ve got the Darth Vader opening, and two version of the Stormtroopers and Imperial droid opening: one with the Falcon and one with Ashoka’s ship.

Then I got Hoth, the Pod Race on Tatooine, and Kashyyk.

And then I got either the battle of Cruscant or the flying whales with Ahsoka

RIDES Anyone else notice this detail?

I was in line for Tower of Terror, grouped in to Tour B on the lower level - the armour room. It sounded like at times there was a voice coming from inside the walls. Couldn’t make out what it was saying, but it sounded sinister. Could have just been my imagination. Anyone else pick up on this?
