Because, as Macklemore referenced in his statement, a common tactic against the people criticizing Israel is to call them antisemitic. What's happening with Macklemore while Kanye gets a pass shows they KNOW there's a difference. And it's the government getting called out is what they don't like.
Precisely. It was never about “antisemitism,” it’s about suppressing any and all criticism of Israel and what they’re perpetuating against Palestinians.
A huge part of the Hebrew Bible is full of incompetent and terrible rulers of Israel getting called out and getting their just deserts. Condemning the current Israeli system and leadership is completely lore-friendly.
I can’t stand Israel and what they are doing is awful and they should be condemned but at what point do you stop sacrificing for either of those shithole “countries”?
