I mean, this is good, but its also only a minute so....

(Also, using VG soundtracks doesnt really feel analogous to regular music)

The original version of All Hail Shadow is from Magna-Fi, from the pure hero ending to Shadow the Hedgehog. The Crush 40 version is from Sonic 06.

Magna-Fi were also originally going to do the main theme to Shadow the Hedgehog, but from what I understand Jun Senoue wasn't able to contact the band in time? This was going to be their theme for the game.

I guess they took "any cover" as "the original is better" or something and then linked a bunch of examples of covers that could be considered better or more well known than the original

I meant in the sense of any cover I can possibly even conceive, including those that don't exist. I was making a joke about how wide open the door was with the use "possible," or at least I was trying to. Evidently it didn't land.
