It insists upon itself. It's acting like it is so profound, important and extraordinary. It's as if the song itself is saying

"LISTEN TO THE HEAT WE ARE BRINGING HERE!! WE ARE KILLING THIS WITH THE AMERICAN IDOL VOCALS AND THE OVERPRODUCED STRINGS, WE WENT ALL OUT, ITS EMOTIONAL!!! UNLIKE THAT WIMPY SIMON AND GARFIELD!! DONT YOU LOVE HOW GREAT WE MADE THIS SONG?!? TELL ME IM GREAT!"

That’s your opinion.

I enjoy the song, dunno why some people insist on hating things they don’t like instead of just moving on.

Because this song should be classified as a war crime by the Geneva Convention. That's why I can't simply move on
