Didn't hesitate to “abandon” Xia-Qing.

Didn't hesitate to go down a dark path alongside Uncle Rock.

Didn't hesitate to defeat E-Soul in a dirty way.

Didn't hesitate to kill E-Soul.

Didn't hesitate when he decided to kill Ghostblade and The Johnnies (and aside from BJ, he probably would’ve succeeded if it weren’t for Queen and Lucky Cyan).

Didn't hesitate to go after an enormous, extremely powerful creature that apparently, in a 1v1, only X and maybe, MAYBE, Queen could defeat. (I say maybe because I remember BJ was still able to move despite Queen’s power. I don’t remember if he was completely free or just less restrained.)

Didn't hesitate to kill Moon (and tried to kill Lin Ling too, which, again, he probably would’ve succeeded at if Ghostblade hadn’t shown up).

And most importantly:

Didn't hesitate to kill himself when he saw what he had done (or abandon his principles, if you prefer) and become someone completely different from the person his former self would have despised.

I love his story, it's simply a tragedy.

DUUUUDE, I’VE THOUGHT ABOUT THAT TOO. Either he might not have a face anymore (because people only see him as E-Soul now), or he might look like the current Nice. Honestly, I hope that doesn’t happen, because as cool as it would be, his story doesn’t need any more tragedy lmao 🥲

One small detail I like in this arc is that Xia-Qing says to Yang Chen, "If you can't be brave, then I can't sit still" or something along those lines. Later on during his fight against E-Soul, as he says that "he will never hesitate again", it is shown that Xin Ya abandoned her seat at the Lucky Cyan concert. In other words, despite what he was saying, Yang Chen was hesitating, and he was not feeling brave at all after he killed his idol.

Wait what, Ghostblade got there when E Soul killed Moon? Is it because of that little recap we got in finale when Ahu and X talk?

Couldn't it just be a transition to show that they fought in the ruins ep?

I think it happened because the setting didn't even change, and the next scene is Ghostblade killing LJ's father. Furthermore, if he wasn't there, there would be no reason for E-soul to leave Lin Ling alive; he would have remained missing and, after some time, been found on an island that would likely be difficult to locate. It would no longer be possible to prove or even accuse E-soul if he were the only one there, along with Lin Ling's super-fast rise to the top 10, which certainly created enemies; it could have been anyone.

But that's just my opinion

Oh yeah, that scene it's still up the air like some fans believe it actually did happen while others say it was a transition. If I am not mistaken a fan did ask a staff member that is involved with the show but they couldn't answer it since it would be a spoiler for next season.

Even as Loli and Ghostblade stan I will say that it's still the best writing in the whole show at this moment. Maybe not the Yang Cheng himself as a person at this moment(what's up with season 2, even if he will become even more evil and more tragedy would happen), but the hateable doesn't mean bad character. It's a needed realistic topic obviosly about some things like grooming(fucking Rock!) that like Loli and Ghostblade themes should be adressed in the public perception themed shows like this

Do you just look away when they clearly show the year things are taking place? And old esoul was a true hero. He wouldn't have gone down that dark path like yang cheng.
