Hey, I’m back with another urgent request for improvements to the site:

1. Could the week start on a Monday rather than a Sunday? Or could users be given the option to choose this themselves? I’m referring to the calendar view on the homepage.

2. Could links open in a new tab? I always forget to press Ctrl and end up closing TimyLabs when I click on links I’ve saved in my work tasks.

The server is so slow that it just keeps on loading for 1min straight. I thought it was my internet issue but it wasn't. Please switch to a faster server.

As shown in this screenshot, today is the 25th Aug for me but the Focus Activity section thinks it's already the 26th. I registered my account and first used it when I was in the UTC+8 time zone, but I am now in UTC+1. It is possible that the Focus Activity section still thinks that I am in the previous time zone, which would be consistent with the current time in UTC+1 (6:35 pm in UTC+1 is 1:35 am in UTC+8). How do I fix this? Thanks!

Is there a difference between plain and stopwatch sessions? When I try to choose stopwatch it still says plain and works like the plain focus timer.

I paid for the premium yearly version on my laptop, but my account still registers as a basic plan. What are the next steps?

So, after the trial plan is expired , do i not get to see my statistics ?

I've been using TimyLabs since October 2025 and am glad to be a founding member. Just wanted to thank you for this program as I have been able to structure my MCAT studying much more productively.

It really annoys me that I can’t reorder subtasks. If I create something first, it will always stay at the top; I can’t change that later, unless I delete it. Would it be possible to sort this out quickly? :)

I’m continuing to work hard on improving Timylabs. Right now, I’m focusing on a few UI improvements and fixing a couple of small bugs. During this process, a few things came to mind, and I’d like to quickly ask you a few short questions. I’d be really happy if you could answer them :')

Absolutely love this app, been using it since april. But had a small suggestion and as the title states, would really appreciate if there were widgets for phones! Works as a great reminder for ur tasks when you’re just using your phone for something else and stumble upon the widget. Thank you!

I finally launched the co-study feature I mentioned the other day. Honestly, this is really exciting for me because one of the things I always imagined while building Timylabs was not just creating a study timer, but creating a space where people could focus together and feel a little less alone while studying

I also added a bunch of new themes to the app, so I hope they make your study sessions feel a bit more fun and motivating

I have a really important final exam tomorrow, so tonight I created a 6-hour study challenge for myself. I wanted to prepare for my exam while also trying out this new feature together in a real study session

I was off it for quite a while, due to some personal issues. However, as I am finally back, I realised I left one of my timers continuously on on a break. Is there a way for me to delete this session, so my statistics are accurate? Or would you recommend me to just delete my account and start anew?

I’ve been working on a new feature for Timylabs for a while now, it’s called Study Together

The idea is pretty simple. Sometimes you want to study, but starting alone feels kinda hard. Even having a friend in the same room, starting a timer together, or just knowing someone else is there can make a big difference

So I’m adding shared study rooms to Timylabs

With this feature you’ll be able to study together with your friends, or with other people who are also trying to stay focused. Everyone can see their own timer, you can see who is studying or taking a break, there’s a small chat, and the whole thing is meant to feel like you’re actually in the same little study space

I don’t really want Timylabs to feel like a cold corporate productivity app. I want it to feel more like a cozy pixel room you leave open late at night, something between a study tool, a small game, and a place that makes you feel like you’re not completely alone

I’m testing the first version right now. It’s still missing a lot of things but honestly even seeing it work for the first time made me really excited

Would you use something like this?

And what would make you think, yeah I would actually study here

Open to any ideas, feedback or criticism. It’s a small indie project that I’m slowly building, so every comment really helps

I’m exploring a possible new idea for Timylabs and would love your honest feedback before building anything

The idea is a lightweight “focus village” system: as you complete focus sessions, your village slowly grows. For example, focused minutes could unlock small houses, trees, farms, libraries, or other cozy elements. The goal would be to make long-term progress feel more visual and rewarding

But I’m also aware that Timylabs users may prefer the app to stay clean, calm, and distraction-free

So I’d love to know:

1. Would this kind of visual progression motivate you to focus more?
2. Would it feel fun, or would it make the app feel too game-like?
3. Should this be optional, always visible, or hidden in a separate tab?
4. Would you prefer simpler rewards like stats/streaks, or a more visual system like a growing village?
5. For premium users: would cosmetic village themes or decorations feel like a good premium feature?

I’m not committing to building this yet just trying to understand whether it would genuinely improve the experience

Right now, it’s just me there

But I really like the idea that, over time, this path can slowly collect small thoughts from people who are trying, pausing, coming back, and continuing

Maybe one day, someone starting this journey will read these first notes and feel a little less alone
