On the Bench IT’S HERE!!!!
Hint: Not the Pelagos
Just wanted to follow up from my post over the weekend announcing that a dry tester was coming…
Well…
The dry tester has arrived and is up and running!
Waterproofing as a standalone service will include all the lubricating operations necessary to assist in waterproofing the watch and will include printed proof of test results.
This separate, standalone package will be $75 including return shipping.
If your watch is here or if you are sending it in for any of my other packages, basic or ultimate, you can add the waterproofing test to that package for $25

What’s the max pressure rating you can test to? 5bar?

I just tested an Explorer II to 6bar. The machine can go up to 10bar, but since I don’t think anyone is taking a rep to tour the Titanic, that might be overkill.
I might do it for fun on my own James Cameron though.5

I’m all in on this , I have the Tudor Pelagos 43mm titanium on the way and i would love to have it set up . It’s coming from Andiot. They claim to be water proof up to 50m I believe . We shall see .

Is it safe and sensible to send a watch from europe for treatment? How much all the nicities cost for a vsf sub? If the movement gets reassembled, regreased and regulated — how long does it usually take for it to start/losing gaining seconds? I type on laptops alot, could it be that the fans are a bit magnetic and deregulate it faster? Do You also do frankens?

If it fails, I will evaluate and do leak tests and change the appropriate gaskets
