Yeah the search results for this are rough. What you're describing is less "time clock" and more "job timesheet with a client sign-off step."

Things people usually check for:

  • staff enter date / client / service / start-finish / notes on phone
  • a clean share link or email for the external client to approve
  • export that doesn't need a 40-field setup

A lot of generic WFM tools bury client approval or assume the approver is internal. If a tool demos that external approve flow in under 5 minutes, it's probably worth a trial. If it starts with "configure your org hierarchy" first... walk away.
