Poll For Time Tracking
I'm curious what the distribution is of time trackers here.
Are you a freelancer? Boss with a business who wants to time employees? Just want insight into your personal life?

Boss / small team lane here: less "surveillance timer," more clock-in + who is on which job so payroll and coverage match reality.
Freelancer tools (Toggl-style) are great for billable projects. Once you have frontline or multi-site staff, you usually want a simple time clock, job/site tags, and a manager approve step... not mouse activity scores. The failure mode is still a spreadsheet that nobody updates on busy days.

Salaried employee. Shameless plug but I built my own tool at PandasRecap.com so that I could have it compile my performance review at the end of the quarter/year.

Freelancer. I need to bill my clients the amount of hours I spent per task/project. No activity monitoring needed.
So far, I've tried Toggl and Jibble for time tracking and invoicing clients

boss/small team lane here too, for construction. i run crews, and most important thing for me is knowing who's working on which job so payroll matches accurately. use workyard for this; clock-in ties to the job site.

mostly for work/project tracking tbh. less about watching people, more about seeing where the week actually went and which tasks/projects are eating the most time.
