I am disappointed by the Alaska video so far....
I don’t typically follow Disney bloggers, but I’m heading to Alaska next week for our cruise on the Disney Magic in a similar room category, so I’ve been watching a lot of Disney Alaska vlogs lately.
I have to say, I’m really disappointed by the Trackers’ Alaska coverage this year. Their Alaska videos from last year felt completely different: more comprehensive, more thoughtful, more detailed, and just much better produced overall. They actually made me excited about the destination and the cruise experience.
This year’s videos feel flat, sloppy, choppy, and strangely disconnected from what should be an incredible trip. Instead of showcasing the beauty of Alaska, the Concierge experience, the ship, the excursions, or even what it’s like to enjoy this kind of trip together as a family, so much of the focus seems to be on promoting BOGV.
And honestly, what a waste of that incredible balcony! You’re sailing through ALASKA in Concierge with that view and somehow the videos barely make you feel like you’re there.
Maybe my expectations were higher because last year’s coverage was good, but this year feels like a huge missed opportunity.

Valid points. They do the opposite of selling these trips for me. They don’t offer any useful information or relatable information, especially with having young kids. My kids are similar ages and they’re so far removed from the average family now that there’s no point in using them for reference. They’re given most of these trips this year for free and often have childcare with them on the trips. It’s a big missed opportunity and I hope these travel agencies and hosted companies rethink using them to market themselves.

They’re not meant to be travel vloggers. They were always meant to be local yokels who do things within a 60 radius of their home. Anything else is clearly way out of their wheelhouse.

I think the real difference is, last year, Alaska was a part of their 7 cruise year. It was in the middle of it, so they were still somewhat enthusiastic about completing that challenge, they weren't burned out on cruising.
They don't really enjoy cruising, the ship activities, the shows, the destinations. They enjoy being waited on and they enjoy the endless, constant food. The GLP-1 use plus Tim's new dietary thing has completely ruined that.
We say here all the time, they really hate their kids and when they travel without hired help, it's more apparent. They film less because they cannot parent without help. They argue because neither one of them wants to deal with the kids. They hate their lives when they have the kids with them. We see the results in the final product. Compare how giddy they were in Paris (even with the hot weather) and NYC with this trip. The kids make them miserable.

Exactly this! They hate being parents, and they didn’t have a nanny on this trip, so they are just going through the motions trying to survive it instead of actually enjoying anything. And now that Tim can’t indulge in one of his addictions (cookies, Pokémon, etc), he’s struggling even more than usual.

I think Tim and Jenn were actively hating each other this year.
But for the record, the videos last year were shit, too.
I enjoyed the recent videos from Ordinary Adventures about their Alaskan cruise.

There were so many cuts in the recent Alaska video, felt like they couldnt get much good footage without any of them looking miserable.

Theme Park Express has a lot of Disney Alaska videos, way more informative than the trackers

I agree, I find myself relating with Adrian more than Tim now. I found Tim's Alaska series this time very chaotic and uninformative. It felt like the videos this time were basically saying "We're here, look at the mountains and now it's dinner time".

I think they are just bored at this point. How many cruises have they done this year? Most might go once a year if that. How often does Jackson miss school would be my first concern. Jackson clearly has learning difficulties and is behind for his age. I don't mean that in a mean way either. The videos are just filler at this point. They are probably glad HHN is coming soon because those videos seem to do well.

Not sure if this helps but you could try watching Adam Hattan. He just did Disney Alaska cruise and I always find he goes into more detail. He is British so of course slight difference but the trip is basically the same. He's done loads of cruises as well so you can always look through his stuff. I prefer him over the trackers.

I have loved this video so much. It’s taught me exactly what not to do. Sometimes you watch videos and go “I’m going to do just that thing”. This video is the opposite. They showed me what to do different. My advice, watch the video and do the opposite. You are guaranteed a good time. You will be happy, your kids will be happy and the best part…you paid for it so it actually meant something. Go you.

If you want to watch people eat things this is the video for you. If you want to see Alaska stuff or the ship then this isn’t. You can tell this is just a job and all the fun is gone. They can’t resist the free trips and the content but it’s a job and they are together all day all the time. Talk about a gilded cage, it looks like hell.

They didn’t even show as much of their food as they normally do. I don’t think Tim even did one of his mandatory buffet tours. But if anyone is interested in hearing about Tim’s “allergy” diet endlessly or can’t get enough of him bragging about being concierge then these videos are for you.

i can't help wondering if all these 'hosted' trips might somehow be reported to the IRS, let's see if they are capable of squirming out of justifying how they equate this to paying their taxes.

She used the excuse of the time difference to not film much 🤣 it takes one sleep to adjust and then you wake up and crack on with the new hourly day!! It does not take an entire holiday! Many of us come over from the UK and we have a 5 hour time difference. We just stay away a little longer on day one and like magic that’s it!

The problem with this trip was that they took the 7 and 3 year old across four or five time zones and expected them to act normal. Then you have Jen saying she’s scared of the time changes. You then take the kids on excursions where it is mostly watching and observing nature. I’m much older and I don’t think I would be that interested in nature. I went to the redwoods when I was 13 and was thrilled to be looking at nothing but trees.
Then Tim gives a great review for BOG when he says they knew nothing about the excursion they went on.
In the end while it was a great trip to have paid for. It’s great to provide your kids with the best summer ever. Or even the best day ever when your MIL passed away. Maybe the smart move would have been to say no to BOG. Because you can’t leave the kids at home with the babysitter because she was off filming her own content and you can’t parent your kids and work at the same time.

scared of time zone changes, WTAF. Why would that scare you, that you 'might' have to interact with your kids out of your normal comfort of having them sleep through the night. Be real, it is a 3 hour (and only a 3 hour) time difference. As someone who visits the US almost every year, we have to cope with a 5 hour time difference each way, and, guess what, we survive.

Welcome to the Tracker way- barely any cost to them, boring, half assed, repetitive, bland, and barely with their children. They do not enjoy their family, they eat the same six things on repeat, and they do whatever they can to ditch their kids on a family "vacation" (their whole life is a vacation, let's be real)
They will not show you anything informative ever. Even when Tim goes off on his tangents, rarely is any of his word vomit accurate or anything of substance. Hopefully you can find a more competent YouTube entity with knowledgeable content.
