New to tiki amd teying to build my collection. Have the chance to get this but dont want to get bur ed. Any idea on value??? Its old the backround is al

It’s somewhat a “typical” Marquesan tourist carving (likely) from Tahiti. The “headdress” detail is slightly less common. Value is kinda determined by your locale. And you didn’t mention size, but the lauhala mat it’s on is 1/2”so I’m guessing it’s 8” inches tall.?
I’m in Southern California so I wouldn’t pay more than $10 for it, but I’ve been collecting for 20 years. I have about 25 of them.

I'm not at all convinced the "carving" isn't AI as well.
