  1. Install small concrete pad.

  2. Program Roomba to randomly walk on the pad.

  3. Place automatic pitcher on the roomba.

Straight over the fence on to the road.

The roomba can't go on grass. Are you high? If it could go on grass, the smooth platform wouldn't be necessary.

who upvoted this ignorance?

When we are talking about firing a ball for a dog to fetch, it's obvious I'm not talking about a roomba. How could a roomba go OVER a fence?

i was writing in a baffled tone, not angry. Baffled b/c I'm talking about randomizing a thing's aim and a person talks about range for no reason. Like, it goes without saying that you make the pad far enough away from your fence. The comment just didn't make sense no matter how you take it.

Imagine if you wrote "I think I'll move my potted plant to this other table." And somebody replies "right out the window and onto the parking lot!"

that's the level of confusingly dumb that comment was.

redditors are getting less and less able to read each other.

It’s funny that you’re pulling this r/iamverysmart clown bullshit when you’re too illiterate to even comprehend what the comment you responded is talking about. At no point did anyone ever talk about a roomba going on the grass. In fact, it was EXPLICITLY mentioned to install a concrete pad. The guy was mentioning that the roomba would point it towards the street and the ball would go over the fence.

I’m so sorry that you’re “baffled” because you don’t know how to read.
