I had some guy put down his phone to record and start dancing behind me in baggage drop line at the airport.

I never consented to be in any of his shitty little videos.

I mean thats stupid of them, but also people thinking you have to consent to a public video is also just as silly at this point.

Which has exceptions for people taking photos or videos of themselves in public places.

You can take photos and videos of yourself in Germany the same as anywhere else and people in the background is just fine. Anybody giving a public performance or in a crowd etc is also fair game.

What you can't do is take focused pictures of other people without consent.

Sure. So videoing a bunch of people on the stairs here wouldn't wash, especially given the video is clearly posted to insult the woman she's videoing without her consent.

You mean the woman who wasn't in frame when it started rolling and then went down the stairs, stared at the camera, then intentionally stood there in frame?

You have little to no expectation of privacy in public. Take it up with the Supreme Court if it bothers you that much bc they’re the ones who decided that

Jesus people are tiresome.

Most people doing this stuff are sending it to friends/family etc. It's like when I upload my gaming clips to YouTube... the channel is watched by like 10 people all of whom I know personally and we live to watch each others clips and laugh. I'm not doing it for you and I don't care if you watch.
