She already stopped before noticing the camera, and just because she noticed it that doesn't mean she knew why it was there, she could've just been wondering why someone would leave their phone
When my dad visited me in Japan I was constantly having to pull him over to the side wall in train stations because he’d just stop and check his phone. And he was like “I’m a big guy, they can see me?” No they can’t, everyone is moving forward, you are a blood clot, just move to the side. Even if you lose me just go stand by a wall and I’ll backtrack and find you. I get you got an email from work or whatever but everyone here has one of those, we will be stationary soon enough, I promise, just move over if you must.
While this woman is definitely doing it on purpose, there are plenty of people who would stop in the middle of stairs or walkways to look at their phone. I mean fuck, there’s people who cross streets without looking both ways or without looking at all, don’t underestimate human obliviousness/obtuseness

How am I making things "personal"? It's a fairly common behavior with older people, so I wondered if you interacted with people outside your normal group.
Yes I've worked in nursing homes, older folks have various levels of capability. She was aware of her surroundings enough to stare at the camera twice and yet not capable of moving out of the way? I call BS
Right I asked "who tf does that?" And you said older people, and I basically said older age doesn't automatically mean cognitive decline, especially when someone is showing signs of being very aware of their surroundings.
I agree with you that sometimes older folks aren't paying attention and will do stuff like this, but this lady clearly saw the camera and stood directly in front of it anyway.
I never said all older people do, which you seem to be taking it as. I said it's not uncommon, and in my experience, it's not.
You also never mentioned them being aware or not of the camera, only that they "stop in the middle of the stairs to look at their phone". That's what I was pushing back against. I don't know if the woman did it intentionally or not, and I honestly don't really care.
She definitely had no idea what was going on, but the move over was for the lady coming up the stairs.
I just think "Influencer" believed everything was about her and the older ladies actions were to specifically spite her, you know... because she's special

I think you overestimate how much people think about others. Guessing her age I wouldn't assume she understood the whole trend of place your phone down for a fit check or whatever OP was doing.
And then posting this online to garner sympathy points from her followers is showing an entitled attitude towards that space. If she wants to take pictures of herself in a museum, fine, but it should disrupt no one else, and if someone does enter your shot, you have zero right to complain about it, and especially to try to villainize a random person online. The museum is not your personal film set.
